9mm 145 RN Hitek OAL and powder questions

I’m working with a Summers Enterprises hitek coated 145 rn .356 but actually .357 with coating. I’m determining max and working OAL for a S&W Shield Plus performance center with the non ported 4” barrel. Max OAL came to 1.127 to plunk and spin freely. I’m thinking of 1.121-1.120 for a...

Lee ACP - Auto case priming press

@1KPerDay - that’s my understanding. Two trips through. Still a single stage, just auto feed (ish).

Lee ACP - Auto case priming press

Anybody have any details on this new press? I was looking for a video, but nothing on the Lee’s site. Looks like a reworked APP press. Maybe a cinversion kit will come along later since I already have the APP. https://leeprecision.com/automatic-case-primer-press.html

    PCC Load

Dudedog - Just target shooting for now. I have been reading some folks like the lighter bullets at faster speed for a flatter trajectory over 10-100 yards. It's a new toy and something to play with. I agree accuracy is the goal not interested in setting speed records. If it turns out to be...

    PCC Load

I’ve been reading too much I think. The 100 -105 grain bullets could be faster but probably not that fast... especially in a 7” barrel.

    PCC Load

Just ordered a Foxtrot Mike FM-9 with 7" barrel. Considering a 105gr hitek coated truncated cone bullet for a 9mm PCC load. I have promo, wst, sport pistol, hp38, wsf, longshot for powder. I'm thinking the faster powders are better in the blowback action. WST, SP, WSF, promo and LS, I have...

    9mm Expander Die Usage

I was having problems seating bullets straight without a bulge on one side of the case with the Lee seater. The Redding competition seating die solved that. Very nice seater, just expensive.

Tips and cautions for loading .357 SIG

I size this round to headspace on the shoulder, just like a bottleneck rifle. Specs will say the case mouth but that is not my experience. I don’t see any point in pushing the shoulder back further than necessary. ymmv.

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

I highly doubt it. No reason to do that since everything in sight is selling right now. I’ve e seen some sales on equipment but nothing on supplies

    Lee Bulge Buster Kit Reviews

I bought the Makarov carbide Lee Factory crimp die to run the Luger through. Did I pick up the wrong die?

    My Bullet (projectile) Ordering Phobia...

Same here, no problems, usually order 2k to 6k at a time. RMR does an excellent job packing/taping. Hornady double boxes the bulk 223 bullets.

    WST and 9mm

I have used WST and some Xtreme plated 100gr round nose for a really light load. Started at 3.6 grains. It took 3.7 to cycle my new S&W Shield. 4.0 seemed to be more accurate and provided better cases sealing against the chamber. I need to come back and continue to work through developing...
