    Your 327 experience Please

I bought a 4" SP101 because I can barely reach the trigger on the GP100. It has quite mild recoil with .38 special ammo, but with magnum stuff it's rather snappy.

What Makes a Great Gun Review - Assessment?

For a handgun, I want details on the grip dimensions - circumference, trigger reach, etc.

    Gun safe recommendations

I would look for a UL "RSC" certification as a bare minimum. Some cheap cabinets advertise that the lock itself is UL rated, but that doesn't say anything about the rest of the safe. The "Residential Security Container" rating isn't super impressive, but at least you know that UL evaluated it...

    P938 anyone?

I like the trigger on my LC9s. It's definitely not "1911 style," but the pull weight is less than 5 lbs. In contrast, the P938 has a very short trigger stroke, but it's much too heavy for my taste.

Hand size... Why is there no standard?

I often have trouble with trigger reach on full size guns. Even with guns that are known to be "good" for people with small hands, I feel like I really have to stretch to get the pad of my finger flat on the face of the trigger. Trigger reach would be an easy specification for manufacturers to...

    LCP II Pocket Holsters

I bought a kydex pocket holster with the "hook" at the bottom on eBay. The hook was too tall and got in the way of my fingers when I tried to grab the gun, so I filed it down.

    Carrying concealed in PA

I believe this means that Pennsylvanians can carry in Maine without a permit, because Maine does not require it. Make sure it's from a state for which PA honors non-resident permits.

    Belt Loops vs "J" Hooks

My holster has the plastic hooks that go over the belt, down the outside of the belt, then curve in underneath. It's easy to put the holster on and take it off, and it's secure on my belt. BUT, many holsters have cheap clips that just don't work very well. If the clip is thin and too...

Tavor X 95 or Higher end AR 15?

With the new X95 Tavor, you hit the mag release with your trigger finger.

    LC9S Owners....... What's the word?

I'd be hesitant to carry a ported gun, because of muzzle flash (at night) and possible scorching (when shooting from retention).

    LC9S Owners....... What's the word?

I really like my LC9s! I use the mags with pinky extensions, and I added rubber Talon Grips. It fits small hands well, and the trigger is excellent (compared to other tiny guns). The only problem I've had is accidentally bumping the mag release if my thumb is too close to it. If you're...

    CCW Insuance

I am a member of ACLDN. I hope I never need it. Some things I like about ACLDN: They cover any lawful self defense incident, not just using a firearm. You can choose your own lawyer, if you want. If necessary, their experts will conduct an independent investigation and help your lawyer prepare...

    Dillon 550 Primer Feed Issue

    Dillon 550 Primer Feed Issue

I had a similar issue. I think I moved the primer cup down a hair and also tweaked that vertical rod that pushes the slide back. FYI, the brian enos forum is a good place to ask questions about Dillon: www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?&showforum=4

    Prescription Shooting Glasses

I just went to my optician and told them I want prescription safety glasses. They look like normal glasses, but they have "safety" frames and polycarbonate lenses, and come with side shields that you can snap on for full coverage. My work paid for the regular glasses, and I paid for a pair of...

Pocket 380 that's fun to shoot?

I'm going through a similar process. My first carry gun was a LCR in 38 special. I think the revolver is really snappy, and it required a lot of practice for me to get comfortable with it. That might be because I don't really like the grip angle on revolvers or Glocks. I decided to get a...
