Jim, I have three Pietta G&G's. Two were made in in 1973 and 1976 respectively, and do not have the cylinder pins. My G&G made in 2013 has the pins. Seems that older Pietta's came without the pins. RC

Jim: Thanks for your kind words and for checking VTI. All the distributors say they can only get engraved cylinders from Uberti. I've taken my L & R cylinder to 2 different gunsmiths to see if they would remove the engraving on a lathe, but both felt that because the engraving is so deep...

How about a non engraved Uberti cylinder for a 1851 Navy? I'm stil searching for one. Anybody have any ideas? RC

I have one just like it, made in 1970 by Uberti. They called it "Mod 1862 Reb Conf Army." It is Uberti's take on a Griswold & Gunnison but in .44 cal.
