    How much ammo is enough?

I have a few thousand rounds on the shelf in the various calibers that I shoot...I'm fairly comfortable with where I'm at, but I do recall what it was like when you couldn't get any...so I'll probably stack it a bit deeper...that and I'm accumulating components to reload for my most used/needed...

Bad Glock 26 or bad ammo?

I own 3 Glocks and have put thousands of rounds through...I personally have never had any problem with any ammo...but I've had a few friends complain about similar experiences to yours, and it's always been with Fiocchi ammo. It it runs well with others...can't be the gun.

Honest Opinions from Glock 26 Owners/Former Owners

I've got an old 17...Gen 2 I think and it flings brass pretty well but not to my face...my new Gen 4 19 however will drop them on my forearm now and then...never to my face, at least not yet anyhow. Last match I shot with the 19 it dropped a hot piece of brass right into the crook of my right...

switched from 38 spl to 9mm

It seems that availability of practice ammo and the comfort of the gun for carry are as good a reason as any to choose a caliber. I think with very few exceptions with today's quality in ammo there really isn't a "bad" caliber for self defense. Having the gun, being confident and putting the...

    Vision Problems limiting shooting ability

I have issues since I got bi-focals...so my solution is to take them off. It takes too much time to jog my head around and get a clear focus on the front site so I take them off focus as much as I can with my bare eye and shoot. My accuracy has improved and my speed is up. Pray it never...

    Change in Rainier Bullets?

Thanks for the replies everybody...I appreciate you all taking the time to help a newbie! Just to be sure I'm understanding the "Why's".. A plated bullet will take less of a powder charge to get the job done than a jacketed round because the jacketed round would be harder, thus harder to...

    Change in Rainier Bullets?

Hi, I was doing some research tonight as I plan to start working up my first .45 ACP loads. I have some Rainier 200 gr projectiles so I went to the Rainier Ballistics web site to confirm some of what I though I knew... I have a print out from about a year ago from their FAQ that says to...

    Smart Trade?

A friend and I are negotiating a trade and I'm wondering what you all think of the guns involved...it will be an even swap and both guns come with 2 holsters and 3 loading devices. Just coincidence that we both had the same number of accessories. I am putting on the table a S&W 638-3 J Frame...

    NEF/H&R Single-Shot 12ga

Got one and agree totally. Had to put on a sissy pad to lengthen it a for my large frame and didn't mind the extra padding at all.
