    Extra long .308 C.O.A.L.?

You are correct, it may just be a long throat, it could also be headspacing, but I am pretty new to reloading so I am just trying to dot the T's and cross the I's. ;)

    Extra long .308 C.O.A.L.?

Have a rifle that I am trying to get shooting as accurately as possible and it has been fighting me the whole time. I went to measuring the chamber to get a good starting point for COAL and found that touching the lands it is at 2.840", too long. Don't have any "go/no-go" gauges so I am...

Xtreme Plated RN Flattening When Being Seated

I use Lee dies, the crimp die is separate. On my 9mm I use just enough taper crimp to roll the edge of the case mouth. When setting the die up I'll crimp some dummie round and pull the bullet to inspect the amount of crimp. I like to just barely see evidence of crimping on the bullet. Bare in...

    Whoops, wrong bullets. Still usable?

After a lot of reading and making a couple dummy test rounds like you said, FROG, I loaded to 2.700". This was a little shy of 2.750" which is what was listed for 165 grain rounds, but seemed to give me good bearing surface. I loaded a little lighter than starting loads for the 165 grain due to...

    Picked up a CZ P-09

I have a P09 in FDE. It is a great pistol. After careful polishing of all internal trigger components my DA is 6.75lb amd SA is right under 3 lbs. My wife also has a P07 and I really like the way that it fits in the hand. The P09 does feel quite long, but for a combat/home...

Downloading from Hornady as we speak. We shall see. Thanks for the feedback.

    Whoops, wrong bullets. Still usable?

Did a search already, got some info. But need some further clarification. Loading for my .308 Win. While dealing with two kids, a feeble shop owner and a guy that wouldn't stop chatting my ear off, I managed to bring home Hornady 160 grain FTX bullets meant for a 30-30. After searching...

M77 setups? What are you running ?

I really appreciate the scout scope setup because of the huge amount of eye relief, and to be honest, it is quicker and easier to get a clear sight picture with the scout scope. I had a conventional setup before. But going from offhand, prone, bench, etc. the eye position is never the same and I...

    Got the .308 Bug

Just got a Zastava M77 PS yesterday. Contemplated building an "AR10" but with such an extreme spread in parts interchangeability I decided against it. Looked at HK clones, FN's, etc. but for the money the M77 seemed like a good choice.

Looking for something unique in .308

I own multiple .308's, but I picked this up yesterday and added some left over M70 furniture as well as the scope and mount. Have yet to shoot it though. Zastava M77 PS Sorry, I have tried multiple times but the picture shows upside down no matter what I try.

My Gunsite Scout. Great rifle. 3/4 MOA is no problem.

CFE Pistol: Chrono Results for 9mm

I loaded up some 115 grain Rainier plated RN on top of 5.6 grains of CFE and whoa, baby, that was a hot load. According to Hodgdon's sight 5.9 is max for jacketed bullets. At 5.6 I should have been close to 1090 fps according to the data, but these shot right around 1257. Loaded some with...
