IF you mean that if your going to shoot more than one set distance with a scope over about 10 power you get a scope with adjustable parallax than you are not wrong.
But if you actually mean an adjustable objective than i present you the question of why not 1 high end scope has one. They all...
I'd vote savage in 6.5cm. I wouldnt necessarily recommend a large shank one though as it will limit your choices when you re barrel it and add in some expense. However you cant go wrong. I plan on picking up the ruger when i can find one but i dont really expect it to shoot as well as the savage.
Vortex PST 4-16 would probably suit you extremely well.
Also i'd probably push you away from anything with an adjustable objective. While having an adjustable parallax is extremely valuable i'm yet to see someone be able to adjust the AO without moving out of their shooting position.
Never had a problem with any of my vortex stuff and i have 5 of them right now. Everything from a spitfire 1x prismatic to a 4.5-27 razor.
I would recommend the diamondback hp with the paralax adjustment on the side of the scope AO optics drive me insane because you cannot adjust your paralax...
Sounds to me like a 2-7 will suit your needs the best. Nikon may be easier to get depending where your located but i'll stand behind my vortex. I own a very expensive Razor 4.5-27 and still think their 2-7 rimfire is the most impressive scope they make at 130 bucks simply because you get so much...
I think one problem all of us failed to ask is...
What do you really plan to use this rifle for and at what sort of ranges?
Also what is your price range that you would be COMFORTABLE in (not necessarily what your willing to spend).
I'd recomend a Vortex PST 2.5-10. Its going to give you a ton of scope for the money as well as an unbeatable lifetime warranty should you ever have an issue.
Totally different ball game with this guy but i tried one from home depot and it is actually pretty handy and not a total POS.

I figured for 20 bucks it was worth a try.
I have a friend with a custom 6.5cm gas gun (AR platform). His will just barely cycle the 120gr factory Amax stuff but has no problems with the 140 factory stuff or the 120gr superformance factory ammo.
My advice is to step up to the 140 amax if your rifle will stabilize it. If not at least try...
