    Anyone have firearms insurance?

Had a claim against Kirk Van Orsdell who administered the NRA insurance maybe 50 years ago. They were excellent then. Seems most insurance companies want to administer your coverage anymore, not pay - instead spending the money on advertising.

For old guys - my eyes are shot...need help with sights, glasses, contacts - HELP!!!

Peep sights are the best answer. The aperture will solve the problem just like a npinhole camera. Handguns can use them, but with the short sight radius they aren't generally that much of a problem unless your into serious target...

Media Matters head doesn't believe in guns for you, only his bodyguards

Every time I hear something like this it brings to mind my Grandmothers favorite saying "A dodging dog needs a lick". By extension then - I guess these creatures have done things to make them think that they ought to be shot?

Less gap = easier extraction 22 lr Dan Wesson

If you tighten the gap you are moving the cylinder forward and increasing the space at the rear allowing the cases to set back out of the cylinder on firing.... mine does the same but I keep the gap pretty much at factory.

    House Panel clears National Carry

Gee, you'd almost forget that there was a lot of hub-bub a while back about reciprocity on those pesky marriage licenses issued to gays by some states. But of course, marriage which isn't a Constitutionally enumerated right should trump the 2nd Amendment? I believe that this is one of those-...

Safe use of a safe, will a desiccant draw in moisture?

According to what I remember from NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) the key word is ether, the medium that allows the chemical reaction. Most numbers given refer to a certain humidity level- "non-condensing". The condensation is the "ether" that allows the chemical reaction...

    2a obsolete?

Maybe the reason that this arguement isn't used by those in this country is severability. There is means for repeal or modificaion, so any abridgement of rights should not be considered severable.

    Gun safe interior

I would strip the interior and replace it with cloth covered drywall after leaving a heater in there for a while. Drywall is used for fire resistance in most safes. Get some of the expensive Kitty Litter as it is Silica Gel, same thing as in the little packs only you can get a bag for about...

    Serious question about Illinois law

When I lived in IL, if you can call that living, I just figured it would be better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. That's really the entire bottom line in about any state... Illinois just has a lot more tangle to it.
