As you grew up, how did you avoid siding with anti-gun thinking?

I grew up around guns. My dad and grandfather were bird hunters. My grandfather was in law enforcement and had lots of guns. We shot often, with shotguns, handguns and rifles. I'm almost 56 years old and when I was in school, schools had shooting teams. In high school, after I got my drivers...

Argentine mil. contract mags for BHP

I suppose I'm lucky. I have a dozen KRD mags, a mix of 15 and 17 rounds. The springs are stiff but I've never had an issue. I've had mine for more than 10 years.

    Water resistant pistol

I have observed that Navy SEAL operators have carried Smith & Wesson 686+ with 6 inch barrel when they insert/operate with SCUBA gear. The reasoning is that water drains quickly from the revolver and no magazine to retain the water.

    Spanish Star

I have owned a Star BM and a Star PD. Both were completely reliable and both had exceptional triggers. I regret getting rid of them, especially the Model PD. The PD is a compact 4 inch barrel .45 ACP with alloy frame. Very easy to carry and conceal. If I could find another at a reasonable...

Toss out the stellar clips and replace them with TR Custom clips or Smith &Wesson clips. Stellar clips suck.

    Colt revolver folks

Several years after production ended for the Cobra, the Agent was produced with a matte blue and parkerized finish. Perhaps that's what the other poster referred to as budget. My Agent is a third issue polished blue finish and the Cobra is a second issue with blue finish.

    Colt revolver folks

I don't see anything budget about either of these Colts. Originally the Agent had a shorter grip frame and grip. Later all D frame guns received the shorter grip frame. Afterward, the Cobra came with a larger set of grips compared to the Agent's short grip. The Agent was 1 ounce lighter than the...

CCI Stingers in a Jennings J-22

I had a Jennings 22 back in the late 70's, early 80's, before my first Walther PPK. Mine actually worked flawlessly with Remington Yellow Jackets. Other ammo, not so much. Overall it was much better than a sharp stick and somewhat comforting. Not bad for the money back then. Can't say that I'm...

    Ruger GP100s

I've owned GP-100's in 3 inch and 4 inch barrels, both stainless. Both were trouble free and good shooters. Compared to my S&W 686 4 inch, the Ruger seemed a bit more robust and accuracy was about equal. Slight edge for the 686 trigger. GP-100 was a bit less expensive. Overall, they are all...
