Thanks for the info everyone. Maybe I'll just take a stab at refinishing the existing stock. I'd rather not have to buy a bunch of other parts and lose the ability to keep my bayonet.
Hi all,
I've got a Yugo SKS with bayonet and grenade launcher. I've been reading up on 922(r), etc., and I think I'm more confused than I was when I started reading.
All I want to do is replace the beat-up wooden stock with a synthetic, normal, non-folding, non-pistol grip stock. Just a...

That is an incorrect statement. Although it might not be the most advisable course of action, if you are doing nothing illegal, and the officer is just talking to you (asking for ID), and the officer is not detaining you (telling you that you're under arrest), then you can just keep walking...
They don't need reason to ask for it, but they cannot demand it. If the person they ask was doing nothing wrong, and they were not operating a motor vehicle, then generally they are not required to comply with a request for ID.
See http://www.vcdl.org/Tonys/MCPD_FOIA_Response.pdf for complete details.
The Manassas City, Virginia Police Department was called to a local restaurant for a report of six people legally carrying firearms. The owner was not the caller, it was another restaurant patron. Upon arrival, the...
I'm a Virginia resident with an out of state NH permit. Best process I could ask for (of course it would be better - and constitutionally accurate - if no permit were required to carry a gun).
Anyway, I filled out all my paperwork and had the permit in hand in less than 2 weeks. Hell of a lot...
Being a college student, I went through high school not too long ago. Let me tell you, the government classes are JOKES. I didn't learn a thing.
Today in one of my college math courses, I presented a project on the recent trends in gun control (i.e. 36 states are now shall-issue whereas in...
I've been known to carry mine sometimes, despite its ridiculous size... I've even done it in fairly light clothing. I just use a leather OWB holster. Depending on what I'm wearing, the gun may print a bit, but I don't usually concern myself with that. Most people are completely oblivious.
Damn those are some fine lookin' guns.... I can't take it any longer, my GP-100 needs a little brother. If all goes well I'll be trying/buying a friend's this weekend!!
Legionnaire and Spin180 - great photos! I think I'll be adding the clipdraw to my 101 if I decide to buy it!
A fellow member of THR is currently offering some awesome deals on Springfield 1911s... The URL is http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=191179 for anyone who hasn't seen the thread already!
I'm thinking about buying a Browning Hi Power made by FN.... I can't really find anything about their service department or standard warranties offered on their website. Can anyone tell me about their service?
What a loon. These morons fail to understand that you can ban guns all day long and criminals will ALWAYS until the END OF TIME be able to get their grubby little hands on guns. :cuss:
Thanks for all the input. I bought the CZ-75 Kadet, and I must say it is a fantastic gun. I've only shot a hundred or so rounds though it, but I enjoyed every second of it. Very accurate from the factory, didn't even have to adjust my sights. I'm a CZ Believer now.
After buying a .357 and a 9mm, I've finally decided I *need* a .22lr hand gun. I think I've settled on the CZ-75 Kadet.
Why?
-It is a "real" gun - you can buy a gun identical to the Kadet in larger calibers.
-CZ has a great reputation for quality.
-It's damn cool that you can use it...
Woah, I went to a high school just a few minutes away from Robinson, and we didn't have a shooting team! :cuss: I didn't even know THEY had one until now... :banghead:
