The federal government has filed a cert petition with the Supreme Court in a bump stock lawsuit

What's the chance of SCOTUS taking this case? I sure hope SCOTUS takes an AWB + high capacity magazine case as their next case before any other 2nd Amendment case.

Federal judge rules Oregon’s tough new gun law is constitutional

Handguns are the most common weapon for self-defense and most modern handgun standard magazines start at apprx. 15, not 10 rounds. Also, Heller said, "In common use", not common use for self-defense.

    Video: Justified or Not?

https://twitter.com/Alphafox78/status/1677308184132820993?s=20 A lot of people are saying that the extra rounds when he was running away are unjustified. However, due to adrenaline, reaction, etc, and such sometimes people keep firing. Thoughts?

Breaking News: SCOTUS takes first 2nd Amendment case since Bruen

Huge news: SCOTUS takes first 2nd Amendment case since Bruen. Will this ruling affect red flag laws also? With SCOTUS only taking about 110 cases a year I hope they leave room for an AWB + high capacity magazines case soon...

    "Unprecedented societal concern”?

Since Thomas didn't write it does it carry legal weight?

    "Unprecedented societal concern”?

A magazine is a component that is necessary for operation but I wouldn't say a magazine is an arm. Just like the round. A round isn't a firearm but you definitely need it for the firearm to work. Is unprecedented societal concern in the Bruen ruling?

    "Unprecedented societal concern”?

I don't recall hearing this term in any recent cases. In this particular case the new standard is you must take a class to obtain a permit to purchase along with a background check. I don't agree with needing to take a class to obtain a permit to purchase. Wonder if this will stand...
