    Ruger Mk IV: Any Good?

Swapped my Mark III for a Mark IV 22/45 Lite and ain't lookin' back! Going to put a Valquartsen Accurizing Kit in it and probably do nothing else. Was worried about the light weight at first but at 70 years old, find that it suits me just fine.

    Carry-Gun Selection

Like Trunk Monkey, I've settled on a pair of S&W Shield 9mms and for mostly the same reasons. I took a Combat Pistol Course, 8 hours, using one of them and am very comfortable with their ease of use, speed, and accuracy for distances I would be likely to use them.

Recommend me the best pocket carry

Pocket carried a Ruger LCP for awhile but was never comfortable with the 380. Tried a S&W Shield 9mm and it worked so well I bought another for my wife. I carry it in a soft sticky pocket holster in my right front jeans pocket. I'm 70 years old so I wear the Relaxed Fit Wranglers and they have a...

    Sterling Model 302 22LR Pistol

I carried a Sterling 302S (stainless model) for many years. Never had a problem with it. My daughter liked it so when she got married 12 years ago I gave it to her and she still carries it. Wouldn't call it a target gun but it was a fun little plinker and great for concealed carry, if you...

If you could only keep one gun

Looking at it from the perspective of home/self defense and putting food on the table, I'd probably keep these: Ruger Mini 14 Tac, 223 (light, quick, comfortable) Ruger P89, 9mm (accurate, fast) I would prefer to keep my 870 12 Ga but as I get older, I'm getting a little more recoil...

What is the last gun that you bought?

After careful consideration and hours of research, last week I purchased a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in 308 Winchester, mounted a 2-7x Redfield on it and it has become my new favorite. Took it straight over to my son's house to show him and he laughed and pulled the exact same rifle out of...
