Thinking about a RIA 22 AR style.

When you go to sell it, what's the best way to tell the buyer that it sucks? Seems many of our gun loving family are happy about sending a dud "down the road." As often as I see people write of that, I have yet to see anyone tell how they handle the sale.

Keep .280 Rem or sell for something else?

Keep the 280 AND buy a lighter mountain rifle.

I have been checking all over for one of the stainless 32s. Have not seen any on the market yet.

Most inaccurate rifle I've shot in a long time, and it's a head-scratcher.

You have it behaving pretty well now. Drop down to a 1" dot or square target. I think you'll tighten things up a bit more.

24" Barrel in 44 Mag Lever Action?

Yep, in all cases a 15" barrel was faster than an 18" barrel. I much prefer a 16" lever 44 for appearance, feel and portability.

    so called cowboy "assault rifles"

I have always wondered why lever action rifles are far more popular than pump rifles while pump shotguns are far more popular than lever action shotguns. With that out of the way, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a good lever action armadillo assault rifle.

    I don't like snakes

That's cool. I had them as pets in my youth. What kind does she have?

    I don't like snakes

I have to admit that the name thing can be a deal with me. Vortex is perhaps the dumbest name in the industry. This is a vortex:

    problem with an AR-type rifle

Tell the dipstick to buy a damn cleaning rod and try to tap it out. He's going to need a cleaning rod at some point.

Can you provide any specifics about your negative experiences with Taurus?

Is Taurus a Good Brand for Revolvers

I have a grand total of two Taurus ownership experiences. I still have both and they are better than good. I have owned a pile of Rugers. Ruger customer service knows me well. So well that I have avoided Rugers when making recent purchases. I have a Ruger SP101 right now that's a pretty bad...

    Silencers - Why?

The OP didn't give me the impression that the discussion was on 22LR silencers. The 1K reference was part of why. I'll let him clear it up if he was.

    Silencers - Why?

By the time all fees/taxes etc are added to the cost of a suppressor, it's very easy to hit the 1K mark for a centerfire rifle can.

.44 Mag Tracker ($350) last one I promise

I like Taurus revolvers in general. I don't run a lot of ammo through mine, so I can't comment on their long term durability, but for the price I am very happy with them. My hearing is pretty bad and getting worse, so I'd pass on the ports, but otherwise would have been all over it. You...

Can make for a fun dragonfly shoot on a hot summer day.

Respect (or lack there of) for older Gun Writers

Social media, be it forums or Facebook, can be an absolute schidt show. It's a playground where people thrive on being contrarian or adversarial just for the sake of being so. Few people explore topics with genuine curiosity and few truly try to understand other's viewpoints. When you accept...
