I've had 2 grendels. First was an 18" aa which I sold then built one with 16" barrel that I still have. Ive had zero issues with either one. The 16" is a tack driver with nosler ballistic tips and varget. Neither one has ever jammed, ftf, or fte. Comfortably quiet with tbac can. Of all my ars...
I have a Remington 700 with 26" barrel. It has 5r rifling. It's stainless with green web synthetic stock. The thing is a tack driver with my reloads. It's not bad at all to shoot with a brake on it either. Even funner with my tbac can on it. It is heavy tho with scope and bipod. Comes in at 12.4...
I love my Dillon. Have zero complaints so far. I reload everything on it but match rifle rounds. Which is my Grendel and 300 win mag. I use rcbs single stage for them
Well poured the floor yesterday. Started about 11. For anyone interested the concrete mix was 40% Rock, no air no ash. 1% hot water, 1% calcium and 3x normal on the fiber. Supposed to be a 4500 psi mix. I think they forgot the hot water because it didn't start setting up til 630 or so. Then on...
Here's what I got done today. Hope to pour concrete in the morning. There is 3/4 rebar in the trough of tin then I used 5/8 that is in 1' squares. I still have to lay wire mesh on top yet
This is how I braced underneath. The specs for the decking show that it wasn't needed but I did it anyway
Update
Well after some hard thinking I decided to make another room that is strictly for guns/reloading. Instead of it being one room I am turning it into 3. Gun vault, closet, man cave. Here are some more pics
I used a telehandler with a 10' piece of drill stem sticking off one fork and hung the safe off the end of it. Wish I had some pics. I did both of mine that way
I used railroad ties with dirt mounded all around them. Set 1@100 yards and the other @ 200 yards. Ranged from my porch. I own the half section so one of thes days i would like to set up a 1000 yard range with a shooting platform 15' or so off the ground.
Confiscation would kill this economy but by then we will be 100% dependent on the government. No way it will happen in our life time either. We are very proud people. Now the younger generations is a different story....
