Don't cut and paste sections of my post and leave out the main part of my point.
I'm not comparing two completely different things, you just conveniently left out the very most important part of my question. Why do you feel the need to change my mind about whether or not it is disrespectful...
You might want to read my post again and see what I said about allowing CCW.
Comparing what I stated to the anti gunners argument to disarm us all is disingenuous. The thread is about whether or not people think an 18 year old should be allowed to CCW. Based on my personal experience there...
I think I'm going to start avoiding threads on open carry, should 18 year olds be allowed to CCW, should you let a homeowner know that you have a concealed weapon on you, is THR "elitist", etc.
I can't believe you guys are still arguing about this!
I think I started the argument about respect with this answer:

We have established that there are at least 4 states that require you to notify...

I agree that the post on concealed carry in Indiana was a good one but I don't agree with what you said above. Some of us have experience with 18-21 year olds that would drive us to not support concealed carry for 18 year olds. I can't present you with a handy link to my...
Good question. The short answer is that some states require you to ask permission. Louisiana and South Carolina are two examples. WA, OR, CA and MI do not require you to ask. VA states that you may not CC on private property if the owner does not allow it but does not require you to ask...
In some states if you bring a concealed weapon into a persons home without asking their permission you are breaking the law. Louisiana is one such state. Did you check to see if what you did was legal in your state?
Not telling somebody that you are bringing a weapon into their home is, in my opinion, disrespectful. Their home is their castle, abide by their rules or don't go in there.
It depends on the forum. I believe most of what I read over on Cummins 4BT or Trailspace.com. For the most part those forums are well mannered, even more than THR. On RimfireCentral? I believe close to 40 or 50 per cent of what I read when it comes to groups and the accuracy of some of the...
It just occured to me that I own two of the guns most maligned on the internet. A .40 caliber Glock and an AR-15. I'm totally happy with both of them. I think I'll pass on the Sig but as a reward to myself I may buy a decent AK later in the year.
