alot of folks shure seem to know alot about being a warrior.. good thread for reading so many personal opinions. but I dont think I want to read the word "warrior" for a nother day or two lol. IMO, training is important. but folks without training may come out better in a given situation...

I need a new carry handgun, Im thinking HK usp compact in 9mm

well, personally I like a Kahr CW9, with an extra mag, loaded with 127gr Hydrashock, or Win STHP 147gr. superlight, super thin, accurate, reliable.. I now preferr it over the Taurus PT111SSP I carried prior. either do great, but Ive become a better shot, and dont feel the need in my situations...

    7.62 AP Reloading Info Needed

umm, you dont need AP .308 to punch thru 1/4 or 3/8 inch steel.... Ive done it with .223 in 1/4, went thru easy... 55gr FMJ..... same round nearly punches thru 3/8 inch. you dont even need AP for yer goal... you could impress yer friends with just store bought FMJ..... or you could consider...

.22 WMR or .17 HMR as an anti-personnel round?

JShirley, that quote was from someone who also said: "I can put 11 rounds into a 8 inch target at 25 yards in 10 seconds with my .45 handgun." you get my point ;) ip.

.22 WMR or .17 HMR as an anti-personnel round?

.17hmr is not as low powerd as some folks make it out to be. everything Ive shot I have killed. I think 5 yotes now, and definetly countless bunnies. I would NOT recommend .17HMR as a SD choice. but yes, if its all you had, it would do what you need it to. Id say get a .223 or 7.62x39...

    Taking out a beef steer

When I worked at a local meat locker a few years back, the owner killed all the cows with a .22mag rifle. exactly in the fashion CoRoMo described.. none of them took more than 1 shot. anything 9mm or up I would bet as safe. but if yer buddy live on a "ranch in the sticks", he should most...
