I have a Contender with a couple of barrels. .357 is not one though.
Might want to try and find a .357 barrel. Agree on the 12"-14". Easier than
finding the Max. Then take it to your 'Smith and have him ream it to .357 Max.
Or if you're handy rent the reamer from 4D and do it...
I have a G29 with a LW 40 barrel also. I mirror the same results. The 40 is much
more snappy. That's not to say the 10 is a pussycat.
I have had good results as far as accuracy and reliability with the 40 Lone Wolf barrel. From my experience, I would recommend them.
Jon
I own a G29.
Yes it can be done. Bad idea.
No it IS NOT SAFE to do. People do stupid things though.
The 40 when fired in the 10 is held in place by the extractor I think.
Again BAD IDEA. But stupid people, repeat, do stupid things.
$99 for a Lone Wolf 40 conversion barrel...
No one seems to want to tell you. Not hard. Remove the rear sight. There is a small spring under it. Remove the spring. Presto. Keep the spring to replace and restore the safety.
I have had Ned Christiansen of Michguns (www.m-guns.com) work his magic on a couple of my 3rd gen guns. He...
Holy Smokestacks...
when I saw this originally I was surprised that Erich posted this question. I have followed Erich's exploits for several years and consider him a "near" expert. After reading all the replies I better understand what he was looking for.
I carry everyday, everywhere a 3AT...
Don't sway from the G20. Great gun and great cartridge.
I have the G29. Use the 15 round mag from the 20 when in the woods.
As stated before. Safepacker. Works great. Protects the gun. Non-descript. Easy to access the gun. Room for aded items. Can be worn on belt, hooked to pack...
Nothing I can say will ever take the hurt away.
But, let it be known that you and your family are in our thougths
and prayers.
May God bless you and your family and give you peace.
May he also keep safe all our troops who are in harms way.
Jon
The G29 is a great little compact blaster. It's my edc.
I had my grip reduced by Bowie Tactical. Made a big
difference to me in gripping this little sucker. The G20
mags fit also which gives you 15 more rounds if you so
desire. A sleeve is available to fill the extra void.
I reload...
Sigma 380 gets a big pile of bashing. Most probably deserved.
I have one. Had light strikes. Back to Smith. Fixed it free.
Now after 1000 rounds it still always goes bang. It's small.
Easy to carry. Pretty good Backup. YMMV
Jon
Well were gonna hafta agree to disagree on this one.
As a Michigander I'm quite familiar with Evan Marshall and the gang
at StoppingPower. They are not just a bunch of telephone book shooters as Dig suggests. They have done extensive testing in "Jelly Blocks" during
their annual "Hoot N...
Go over to Blackbeard Outdoors under the Blackpowder Section. They have a section on Blackpowder Cannons and Motars.
They are good folks and helped me a bunch on my build.
Jon
Gotta jump in here.
I have about 15 handguns that I shot a lot. I "found" the 10mm about 2 years ago. I now own 3 and its what I shoot the most.
If you just want a shooter find a Smith. They are made like a tank and parts are still available.
Lot of good info on www.10mmtalk and...
I know, I know...I read...either or....BUT
Why not a Reloader Kit (Lee or RCBS), powder, primers and Boolets for the $400??? Probably less, then you good to go in the future.
My feable idea.
