I would, but I have no idea how to do that . But my gun also had a problem with Federal 230 grain Hollowpoints, so I dont think it's the fault of the ammo so much. Unless Federals are known for being a little oversized and I just happened to try it with the only two types of bullet it...
Thank you all for your help. In case it makes any difference, I forgot to mention that the CCI ammo I tried was FMJ and I got this problem, but the Remington FMJ seemed almost eager to drop into the charge holes. But I think a little trip to the gunsmith should work this all out.
Just got an S&W Model 22 in .45 and I love it despite not having shot it much yet, which is part of the problem. My only problem is that some ammo will sometimes not go into the chambers in the cylinder properly. Remington drops right in, but CCI and Federal sometimes (but not always) need an...
Age doesnt mean a thing. Hammers are no less appropriate for their age, and the wheel, and fire. And the SAA uses all three :) . And like those three inventions, the SAA is very simple to use (just dont burn yourself). The SAA will do it's job just as well as it did over a hundred years ago, and...
Unloading spent cartridges isnt a huge problem once you get used to it. A plus on the reloading is that once you get a bullet in and turn the cylinder to the next empty chamber there's no chance of it falling out do to fumbling fingers. The curvature of the loading gate helps too.
Well, I've gone from thinking about a Uberti Stallion to a S&W 637 with the crimson trace grips. I've read many threads on here looking for complaints people have had and wondered if it had any problems otherthan the finish wearing off. I'm also slightly concerned about the durability of it, as...
Would the fact that it is an aluminum alloy change durability in any way? I (obviously) like to think my guns will be with me for quite some time, so longevity is a major plus.
I should mention my liking for this particular piece came from the fact that it is lighter than a typical .357 and comes in single action only, which is the most natural feeling for me.
I need a new gun and the Uberti Stallion in .38 seems like a nice choice. But I need some convincing. Does anyone have one and can give me an idea of what they're like? I love single actions and would like something that doesnt break the bank like .45 LC can do (I dont reload).
I regularly carry one. Its the one I feel most confident in, and I strongly believe in the importance of the first shot, where the single action especially shines.
This is mentioned in a review of Jaws 2 at Jabootu.com, just go to their reviews section and scroll down till you see the movie listed. It's nice to see a movie review written by someone having at least basic firearms knowledge. He's even got a speedloader picture in the review.
Also note...
I am not really a heavy sleeper, but I am on medication to help me sleep. A big fear of mine is needing a gun sometime during the night and not being able to fight back very well because of it. Luckily, I live in a nice area and the chances are rare (wether or not my paranoid mind finds comfort...
Some people to say to you "I didnt know Smith and Wesson made a 1911", but not only do they make them, they make darn good ones. Mine has a conservative estimate of 600 rounds through it and no problems have arisen yet. As soon as I find a good ambidextrous safety I'll be in business for an SD gun.
