CVA Inc Scout V2 45-70 Black/Stainless Centerfire Rifle

Does anyone here have one? Can it take the 1886 Winchester loadings, or do you have to stay at Trapdoor listings?

    45-70 effectiveness at 200yards?

Thank you. So then, the "plinking" load I use of 11gr Unique pushing a 350gr cast at ~ 1000fps would be considered "cowboy"?

    45-70 effectiveness at 200yards?

Sir, I don't shoot or know anything about the Cowboy shoots, but what is considered a "cowboy" load in the 45-70? Black powder only? Low velocity?

    T/C Compass issue

T/C hasn't responded so I took it on myself for a fix. Well, the epoxy was a very brittle two part epoxy [I think Devcon] and a knife blade popped a lot of it off, then a twist on the nuts popped the rest. I'll pick out the rest that was inside the spring. The rifle shoots less than a MOA with...

    T/C Compass issue

I don't think it will be an easy fix...the epoxy is inside the spring windings. If you have a Compass, you can see what I mean. Hoping the "warranty" will kick in and T/C fixes the issue. I won't muck with it until I exhaust my options with T/C. They shouldn't tell you in the manual you can...

    T/C Compass issue

I was going to adjust the trigger on my Compass per the T/C instructions and found that T/C has put a glob of epoxy all over the adjustment spring and nuts. Has anyone run into this roadblock with their Compass? Any ideas on getting the epoxy off the hardware? Heat? T/C hasn't responded to my email.

    T/C Compass in .223/5.56

Is anyone on this forum shooting both .223 and 5.56 in their Compass? Reading about the interchangeability of the two rounds, it seems that the chamber should be for the 5.56. If it is chambered for the .223, shooting 5.56 would show increased pressure over the .223 chamber, and could be...

    .32 Win Special

My 1926 .32 Special SRC '94 will never be sold....so many memories connected to it. One reason I bought it 50 years ago was that it wasn't a 30-30. ;)
