Ruger SR9 vs. Ruger American Pistol

Why, oh why did Ruger make the Ruger American Pistol when they already had the SR9 out there? I've used both. The SR9 is a completely decent gun (and frankly I think the cheaper SR9E is a little better than the SR9 original).... It's not an awesome piece of machinery that I believe is superior...

    Tabuk Sniper

Truth be told, that could be a fun project. Especially with one of the Zastava builds.

    Tabuk Sniper

Wow.... The price... I was hoping for around $700-$900 (because of the scope)... Whew. That's alot of money for a plinker that hasn't got the accuracy of an entry level AR.

What really is the effective range of an AK 47/AKM?

Best way to think about this is how far away can you strike from? A 7.62x39mm will still be moving with enough force to kill a couple miles away... The problem is that it has probably dropped to the ground at that point.... I have reviewed the ballistics charts and they tell me that after...

    Tabuk Sniper

Does anyone make a variant of the AK which copies the Iraqi Tabuk Sniper. I have to admit, while the concept seems kind of silly (a 7.62x39mm "sniper" rifle), it looks like it would be really fun to plink with. Also looks like it could be a nice little deer rifle, especially in brush.

    Ruger SR1911 Questions

Can I have some impressions from people that own more than one 1911? Is it good for the money? Does it take a wide variety of ammo? Would ~$600 be a good price for the full size one? Basically, I think I may have been pulled into the darkside known as "People who like 1911s" now that I have...

Why are AK 74s not more popular???

I have owned several guns throughout the years which I shot corrosive ammo through... I use Windex as part of the cleaning process (before actually putting any light coating of oil or CLP on them).... Never had a problem. The ammonia in Windex is (theoretically) what neutralizes the corrosive...

    Ruger's AR 556

They are $599 in my neck of the woods.

    Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sporter: A Review

I do want to actually put up a good target, with 1" squares, and a 100 yard walk off. And then test it from a shooting bench. I owned an AR, Olympic Arms one years ago, and it took a whole lot of work to get the sites set up, and get it shooting on target. The guy I went shooting with is just...

    Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sporter: A Review

Okay.... I have wanted one of these for the longest. And now, it is mine. I went shooting today with it, and discovered that it is quite a rifle. Especially for the money (it costed me $650 before taxes). I purchased a couple of accessories. (Magpul front handguards, and a frontal bipod/handgrip...

Full sized semi auto 22 rifles

I suggest a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. Basically an AR style that should fit you well. I am 6'2" and have really Long arms. When the stock is fully extended, it works like a champ for me. $400-$500 in my neck of the woods.

New York State Ban - We need your help as well as other states

I know this has been said before, but the real questions everyone in NY need to ask are these: Is it time to leave? Can we actually take the government back and return it to semblance of sanity? This applies not only to guns, but many other topics as well. I look at my own state, for...

Any suspicions about electronic 4473 forms?

The truth is, the biggest advantage we have is the shear # of firearms we own. Can the government get a list of one person's? Easily... A town, a city, a state, a nation? Not nearly as easily. There is a reason that Eric Holder said he wants guns to be demonized. Attack and eliminate the gun...

    Medieval Swords

I have been looking at a Hanwei Arming Sword. Or possibly a Viking sword. Also considering getting a scimitar, or shamshir. Thankyou tomrkba for the sword buyer guide.

I am referring to a reproduction that is capable of test cuts. "Live steel" as it were. Though practice blades are cool to have.

    Medieval Swords

How many of you out there have a medieval or Renaissance Sword? I have one which I've owned for 5 years, and though I don't get a lot of use out of it, I do enjoy it.

Why Are AKs So Much More Expensive Than they used to Be?

Okay... so it occurs to me that AK-style rifles are much more expensive than they were just a few years ago, and I don't think it's just Sandy Hook.... They seem to have been creeping up in price for the past few years.... Here and I was thinking about an AK-74. Anyone know why?

EX COP Gets 5 Years for Legally owned Guns in NJ

It occurs to me, if you own a gun, just don't take it into those states. If you are in those states, moving to another one, follow FOPA. Now, personally, I hate this. I think that the cop who didn't just ignore it is a piece of... sheep dung. I hate that NJ decided that this law has to exist...

Better Built, Mini 14 VS AR15?

I believe it's the AR-15 platform, potentially (if built well).... However, I don't think that Mini-14s suck either. However, as has been said, the versatility, and higher inherent accuracy of AR-15s makes it get the nod.

62% think U.S. Senate should ‘move on’ from defeated gun control bill

Well, I don't believe this is conspiracy in the sense that there are people committed to bringing down the USA. I don't think Obama, or Holder, or Feinstein, etc. hates the USA.... I think that they believe banning guns, pursuing crushing debt as a form of stimulus, and making people dependent...
