    Glock-one in chamber or not?

larry, the choice is ultimately yours, but I'm with the majority. I carry MY G19 with one in the chamber every day. You justified doing it this way by saying you will chamber a round if/when you get into a dangerous situation. The problem with that is that folks don't know when that is...

Opinions on SIG's for a CCW

I used to have a Sig 229 and 239 which I carried regularly. I carried both in VMII hoslters with a Milt Sparks Belt. IMO, they are great guns but very heavy to carry. I've since sold both and now carry a Glock 19 in a VMII. Lighter weight, higher capacity and an all around great gun.

Do Glocks jam for anyone else?

I traded for a new G19 last week. I came home cleaned it and went to the range. Out of 100 rounds, I had 2 failures to extract. I figured either my fault or needs to break in a little. I went back to the range Wednesday and shot 115 rounds. Not a single malfunction. I used to own a G23...

    Kimber Ultra Carry

I've owned 3 Ultra Carry's. One was the CDP, one was a used UC, the other a new UC. All three were series II. Without fail, I had failures to extract. So I called Kimber and they sent me new extractors. I also bought Wilson mags. Once I installed the new extractors all of the failures...

    CCR Ceramic Finish and Black-T

    Holster for SIG P239

Good choice on the 239, I have one in .40 and its my everyday carry gun when the temps are warmer and I wear less clothes. I have 2 holsters for mine. My favorite is a Milt Sparks VersaMax II, it's a great IWB holster that holds the gun nice and tight. I also have a High Noon SkyHigh, OWB...

    Don't buy a PagerPal holster

I had one I bought at a gun show right after Ohio passed the ccw law. I got home, tried it out and returned it the next day. It was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn.

    Sig 229/239 Comparsion Pics?

I have both and while they don't seem that different to look at them side by side, where I really notice it is when I am carrying one. The 239 conceals much easier. The 229 still conceals well, but more so in cooler weather. I have a VersaMax II for each gun, so I know the holster doesn't...

    P239 - which caliber?

I have a 239 that came with both barrels. I sold the 357 barrel and mags. Price and availability of ammo were the main reasons. It had a lot of muzzle flash as well.

    Stepson and the Marshmallow Shooter

I bought one for my son and nephew. I think the adults had more fun than the kids. My Mom and Dad were shooting each other. I bought them from www.drugstore.com They were cheaper there than the nra store.

Sig 229 or Pro Carry Kimber

I've owned a few Kimbers. All are gone and now I have a Sig 229 and a Sig 239. I carry the 229 more in the colder weather, the 239 when it gets warm. Both are great guns, I haven't had a problem with either. With the Kimbers, I had to replace the extractor on all 3 just to get them to...

Convert my GLOCK 40's to 357sig? Why or why not?

I have a Sig 229 and a Sig 239, both have .40 and 357 SIG barrels. I just shot the 357 SIG for the first time this past Saturday. I'm not sold on it, but I'm not sure I want to sell them either. My 229 is very accurate and comfortable to shoot with the .40. The 239 is very snappy with the...

Are all Sigs "R" models now?

I had my dealer order a non-rail 229 in January direct from Sig. I don't care for the look of the rail but the real reason I wanted one is because I bought a Milt Spark VMII for a non-rail gun. I like the rounded look much better than the squared off rail version
