I have one. The first two magazines shot fine but the mag release fell out when removing the second magazine. When it comes back from Remington it will stay in the safe for show and tell since I will not sell a gun that I expect to be a problem for the next owner.
Thanks for testing the 147 gr bullet with a 3 inch barrel. I use the 147 grain bullet in my CZ 85 house gun but loaded the Kahr CM 9 carry gun with 124 grain HST because I did not expect the round to do well at lower velocities. I'll have to try some out of my carry gun and see if I can keep...
I fully understand where the OP is coming from. In my earlier years, before concealed carry was so common, I carried a Beretta 21 in .25ACP in an ankle holster daily. Now we have a lot more options in guns and holsters so the Beretta is retired to the back of the safe. I did just buy a...
In the winter I carry a Kahr CM9 in a Remora holster in my coat pocket since I rarely if ever remove my coat when I'm out in the winter. We I get home the gun and holster go to front pocket carry. In the summer time my dress is the same as the OP's and I OWB the Kahr under an untucked shirt...
I have VZ G10 grips on my CZ 85. The guy that I bought it from said that I would love the rubber CZ factory grips but I'm not a big fan of rubber grips. I also bought the slim grips rather than the palm swell grips that are the style of the rubber grips.
Being left handed myself and a fan of 1911 pattern pistols I have installed Ed Brown narrow extended safeties on all of my 1911's. All of them have required fitting, some more than others.
I started out with a Beretta 9000s, the first plastic frame Beretta made I think. Since then I have added a Glock 23, and a SIG P239 in .357 SIG caliber with a .40 S&W barrel.
I have 2 Colt Combat Commanders in .45 ACP, one stainless and one blued. They keep my Officers size Kimber .45 company. If none of them feels like the right size I break out the Sig 938. I'm not really looking for one but if I ran across an alloy frame Commander size .45 I would own another .45.
I have used a serrated steak knife to cut out handgun shapes. Just move the knife in short up and down strokes as you slowly go forward like an electric knife would but it is better for the short lengths required for a handgun.
get a mold for the Sig 365 as soon as one is available. The internet forum traffic indicates that they are going to fly off of the shelves at the gun stores as soon as they are released.
Hi, I'm Steve_M. You can just call me "that new guy" at least until someone newer comes along. You won't be hearing much from me because I spend a lot more time listening and reading than I do talking or typing.
