My luger (non matching) is over a hundred and fought in two wars. If your worried about a matching one find a mismatched shooter they were repaired with the same care the original parts were built. It shoots better than my matching one. Heck offer enough i might let you have this one. I did...
My neighbor at my last place shot every day with something that was absolutely cannon loud but never bothered me... Usually went out and started shooting too!
I just bought a new american tactical (same people) 1911 commander and after less than 200 rounds the hammer wont fall past half cock 19 out of 20 trigger pulls... So I'd agree. Gun is less than five days old.
I too enjoy steel cased ammo. Buy tula and a few others by the cart full. That forged however is garbage and I won't waste my money. Some ammo is just bad ammo.
Military arms channel on YouTube has run a case of it through several different kinds of guns always with crap results. I'll pass life is too short for bad ammo.
Not 100% no but I do remember reading somewhere a firing prop was made from one don't remember where I saw that though. I do remember the looks are basically copied from a maxim 1895 lightweight so maybe that's the base your thinking of?
