Do NOT try a Palmetto State Dagger!!!

....because you will purchase one. They fixed the grip from the standard G brand that the Dagger is patterned off of. Now it POINTS at POI as it should. I nice bulge in the rear strap combined with a slightly more aggressive texture on the front strap really changes this platform up. Trigger...

    GREAT engineering! GP100 Front Sight

Have to give credit where credit is due. Not sure which Ruger engineer created the ability to change the front sight on a GP100 with such ease, but.....WOW! Does not get any simpler. Push the release at the front of the barrel and lift sight from the rear. Picked up a new HiViz.......cannot...

    Reloading - don't give up

Have two, factory rifles that shoot lights out. Both can be used in the field - they don't weigh a ton (no chassis or other heavy materials). Notched/swivel bipod and rear sand bags provide 1" groups at 3 bones (three hundred yards). THIS is what makes reloading and our hobby/sport FUN!

33 cent upgrade for Dillon 550 Series

Friend sent a youtube video to install a flat roller bearing between two steel washers, for $34.95. He indicated I should upgrade. Because I am frugal (cheap, if you wish), believe a 33 cent solution from ACE Hardware fixes the problem nicely. If you hate spilling powder when advancing the...

    RifleShooter Magazine - March/April 2020 - Game, Set, Match = OOOOPS

Imagine the author should research a little more or read the label. Used Remington 6.5 primers in a 6 creedmore - even mentioned in the article of experiencing 3 pierced primers. Hope nobody else tries these primers in high pressure centerfire rounds.

New shotty....wad plastic and burnt powder lodging between choke and barrel??

New shotgun (will provide brand and what occurs with warranty service) shoots well, but, finding plastic from wad and burnt powder is being lodged between barrel and entrance to choke tube. Measured all of the chokes for OAL and distance from leading edge of chokes are all within 0.002". With...

3 x loser - 6.5 Grendel II barrel from BCA

Third time, is NOT a charm. Ordered a 20" 6.5 Grendel II barrel (bear creek arsenal brand) in August. Barrel arrived, cleaned, and installed. Results were 3 to 5" groups at 100 yards. Bore scope revealed the last 6" of the rifling, is not touching the bullet (lands not shiny, no copper, no...

    Austria 22 rimfire - Problem?

Purchased one of these from J & G: http://www.jgsales.com/product_info.php ... ts_id/4635 Function and accuracy is good. IMHO, actually, accuracy is VERY good for a 4" barrel. Handgun is just the right size for my hand and is lightweight. Problem - a fired case has a bulge just above...

What handloading can do for you. - Pics - ugly!

Don't look any further if you don't like prairie dog innards. First timer from Connecticut made the trip. It did not take long for Joe to search and find the prey. When we told him how big they were, he kind of shrugged, but after showing him, he wanted pictures after that. Not many...

Received a small lot of this brass (once fired) - anybody else reload this brass?

Steel plate for press mounting - Just DO IT! :)

The bench I use for reloading was actually built for the garage - to build automatic transmissions on. Heavy enough for that, but not heavy enough for reloading (5/8" plywood top with 3/16 slick fiber board on top of the plywood), doubled 2x4 legs, & bottom shelf plated with 1/2" plywood)...

    They call me "4 shot"

A little range time after work today. Yep...lived up to my self imposed name of "4 shot". I can put four shots, nearly through the same hole...and screw it up....EVERYTIME! This had the makings of a 0.300" group (outside to outside - no kidding)...and...well...yep...4 shot STRIKES again...
