At the time I was just trying to find out everything I needed to know about a sportsmans permit especially with how to explain to an officer if I got pulled over how and why I was able to have a handgun in the car while being under 21 without having to make a special trip to his office
I looked into the M1 and the only thing that put me off was that from what I could find it's only available in a 9mm? One of the things I liked about the M2 was I could get it in a .45 acp which I know is kinda big for cc but its been a caliber that I've loved since my dad first got me into guns...
I'll have to look into, I'm not completely die hard set on the M2 I just know for my first I want to get a Walther and the M2 was just the first one that I saw and after doing some research on it found that it could do almost everything I need it to.
I'm over in Lycoming county. I haven't really spoken to my county sheriff before, last time I called in it was about my sportsmans permit and his secretary just kinda blew me off when I mentioned a handgun and that I was 18(at the time I was trying to apply for my permit)
I'm up in PA really the only thing like that that I can think of would be similar to my sportsmans permit where I can carry a handgun while hunting, fishing or at a firing range. I may end up just doing what you said and order it to a FFL and just wait those few days
