I've had a Harrington and Richardson M949 or "49er" for over 30 years. A simple and rugged .22 DA revolver that looks like a SA. Slow to load, a bit of a heavy trigger but a sweetheart of a kit type gun. Matt, my son, has her now.
BTW is anyone has the factory grips for the 949 I'd like...
”Perhaps to deliver a crushing blow to a target with the spine of the khukuri in a situation where you don't want to chop into it? I'm just speculating here; I don't know knife fighting.”
Brian, I may have misunderstood tradrockrat’s statement: ”But you can use it with the underhand grip...
Tradrockrat,
Thanks for the compliment on the article, means a lot coming from someone with your background. Now for a bit of milieu regarding the treatise if I may, essentially I attempted to describe the way the Ghurka use their weapon, which is surprisingly very basic. As with any weapon...
KB,
If I understand you correctly, you are comparing the hammer and/or saber grip to a reverse grip correct? (Bear with me here, it’s early and I had only one cup of coffee so far)
Everyone has their way and I will simply give my opinion here, which is neither right nor wrong.

Byron,
Heck, I confuse myself at times, specially before the first cup of Joe in the Ante Meridiem hours. Nevertheless I thought the title was explanatory…”Standardized Equipment & Training”. Do not forget the training (in all areas) as all members should know the basics. This way, when in dire...

Likewise, I have wanted one of these gadgets for years now (price was always the factor). Does anyone have one and, if so, your opinion please.

30 cal,
I wonder how many of us feel somewhat the same way I know I do.
Then again, I do not see anything wrong with having ones collection being separate from their protective or survival battery. However, the money issue is the only reason I think, “if I could do it all over again”...
I thought it was a very well written piece and cleared up many misconceptions. This is why I though you’ all would enjoy the read.
One can definitely see the Grant-Taylor and Fairbairn influence. That taken a few steps further and it is probably not a bad system for Anti-Terr or bodyguard work.
That's true Matt plus is was origionally developed as an anti-terrorist program.
Everyone gets all hung up about the Cond. 3 carry issue. That is really nonsense as 1) with modern Da automatics they carry C1 and 2) it was more of a training aid as they had so many types or pistols and so many...

How I Teach Point Shooting - Part 3
One of the flaws of Applegate's method was his insistence on point shoulder (arm fully extended at nose/chin level) over the...
