    Bullet weight question.

I would make the 124 go as fast as I could get it to go (safely, of course).

    should I shoot em

Thanks everyone for the input! I took them out to the range today stuffed them into my gun and set them off. There was nothing eventful about it other than stuffing the really wrinkly one into the cylinder. The case walls came out smooth and weren't a bit hard to extract.

    should I shoot em

This one is by far the worst. I have to shove it in to chamber it. The others drop in and fall out with no use of the extractor.

    should I shoot em

So I loaded up some 357 magnum rounds and somehow my seating die got out adjustment. I seated 5 rounds and the cases got crinkled a bit. I inserted them into my cylinder and they chamber alright, one of them I have to stuff down to the rim. They are crinkled but the brass isn't torn or folded...

    Collet Bullet Puller for Pistol

I have an rcbs collet puller and I love it. I have the 355 collet and have used it on 9mm and 38/ 357 a whole bunch. It works on coated lead bullets and fmj alike. Sometimes I've felt like I have to tighten the bejesus out of it to defeat the crimp on h110 laden 357 magnum rounds, but then I've...

How do I know if I swaged 5.56 correctly?

I use the RCBS swager and it works fine. Every once in a while a primer won't go in, so I grab a hand reamer and fix it. You will probably have similar results with the Lee. Get some primers and find out.

    Frankford Arsenal Customer Service

I'm an M press user and had some trouble with the set screws on the die blocks, so they sent me new ones, no problem. I also called to ask a question about the way my hand primer was meant to work and they sent me a new one just to make sure everything was good. Now I have two of them. Their CS...

a better way to clean cases

I wet tumble with ss pins. A shot of Dawn dish soap and some lemi shine. If I decap first, the primer pockets are spotless. I couldn't be happier.

How do you polish a sizing die?

When I've had a die leave scratches like that I drop it in boiling water for several minutes then coat the thing with some oil making sure I wipe the heck out of the inside. Problem solved.

    9mm cases for reloading choice

When I first started loading 9x19 I would sort my brass but I guess I got lazy and now days I only use the ones that read 9mm, they work great. If I was making SD loads I would use the same head stamp and develope a load specifically for that bras just to get it as hot as I could, but otherwise...

Reloading Formula for 357 Magnum Auto Winchester 244

I've loaded MBC 158gr lswc coated, up to 6.0 gr with 244. No funky primers and the brass fell out of the cylinder. I think you could go up a little and not blow your face off, but why would you want to? At that charge weight there was a little lead in my barrel with their 12 brinell hardness...

    223/5.56 Conundrum

I suppose someone could have primed that brass with pistol primers making for a less than ideal situation. But if I was looking for components in that caliber I'd give 'em a whirl. If you weren't sure about selling or trading them you could always pop the primers out and use or sell/ trade them...

    Want to polish

I want to give it a finish I can fix. The way it is now, there isn't anything to do but deal with it :)

    Want to polish

I have a Taurus 66 in stainless with the matte finish. I think I hate it! There are light scratches everywhere on this thing and I think it gets new ones every time I take it to the range. So I think I would like to polish it to make it real purdy. Can I take some flitz and a rag and just have...

    55gr Vmax Lost my notes!

I wish I did! When you are this dumb, the first thing you do is shoot em all up just so so you can't do that.

    55gr Vmax Lost my notes!

I recently transferred some notes from an old index cards I had and forgot to write down my powder charge weight. I'm an idiot! The load I was in love with ran about 3205 fps through a 20" barrel with H335. I used LC brass and CCI 400s. Anybody have something close to that I can play with? I'm...

    Powder availability

Your advertising must have missed your audience. I have a hard time believing some thrifty handloader wouldn't be interested in your wares. Here in KC the powder is out there, but it's not plentiful and it's usually closer to $40 than #30 per lb.

    Scale check weights

Send them back and get the troemner set from Amazon. I had to adjust my set a little by sanding some off of a couple of weights and checking them against a known scale.

    Pierced primer

Pierced primers equal too much powder, period. If your chasing velocity, sure, try primers with a thicker cup. But if your getting good velocity (which you are), and a tight ES, back your charge down a little and enjoy the results.

Win 244 powder ,357 mag., with 164gr cast (158 mold)

I run 5.8gr of 244 with 158gr lswc from Missouri Bullet Co out of my 4" Taurus 66. I've used both cci 500 and 550s. Nice clean load, soft shooting, no complaints. It also works great with 38 spl cases and 4.1 grains if I'm remembering right.
