I have an 8" AR in 9mm it is probably the most useful firearm I own, I just shoot matches with it though, the only shoot houses I have experienced I shot a 1911 and FN 12 ga the 2nd one with a Glock 17 & FN 12 ga. Range time; alone or with a friend?

I like going with my friend that also loves to shoot like I do, If shooting FA Class 3 always at home mostly alone only as our range does not allow it, my friend shoots much more than I do per session. Also do many walks alone here at home in the woods hunting cans or? From heavy rains we just had.

    First custom rifle build

Almost all of mine are wildcats in 22 and 6mm calibers, at 1 time I had most all of the 6mm Ackleys. Another great round is a 6mm/284 which I built for the Sierra 107 bullets.

    First custom rifle build

Would be money spent with no hope pf any return of it, if you want to use a commercial action get a short 700 or do it right and go with a real custom action one heck of a big difference with one. and will hold value.

Several years back we visited the Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma, lots of original guns there my surprise was when they were cleaning an exhibit of TV guns and I got to hold the Richard Boone "Have Gun Will Travel Colt" and holster, what surprised me was the amount of wear on it. 45 acp on the heavy side

The classic question from a customer starting to load that came in our store was "How hot can I load it?" Saw and heard that many times, replied why not just get a larger gun? They make loading books for a reason, "You need one bad!"
