    RMR 223 69gr. ?

KMW, I realize that this post is a few months old, but I was wondering if you have been able to shoot anymore of the RMR 69gr with Tac and Benchmark? If so what was the OAL's that you found gave you the best accuracy? Just curious. Thanks

Finding CBTO from different book OAL's

I tried searching the subject for an answer before posting my question, but unfortunately the search feature has been unavailable for the best part of today. I measure and record the max OAL and CBTO for every type projectile that I use in my bolt action 223. Usually, but not always, the max...

    high magnification scope question

LiveLife, I realize that this discussion is a few months old, but I wanted to ask you if you are still impressed with the Visionking spotting scope that you listed? I am in need of a inexpensive spotting scope to give to a really nice 75- year old gentleman that I met at the range a few times...

Thank you for this post. Every new reloader should see these videos so maybe someone will consider it becoming a sticky. Thanks again for your post.

    Magnum Small Rifle Primers

I have to agree with Blue as far as BR4 being the worst of the four. Also all of these groups are nothing to sneeze at and also helps to substantiate that ES is not the bees knees as far as accuracy is concerned.

    Not cleaning brass

I probably should have prefaced my original post by saying that it is my reloaded brass and it is being shot through a bolt action. I always tumble brass that I pick up or get from any other source besides myself.

    Not cleaning brass

I am curious to see if anyone here does not clean their brass every time after shooting? In other words, load, shoot and load them again? Is there any detriments to not cleaning plinking loads other than possibly fouling the dies?

    Lake City brass

I do because I have found that certain years seem more consistent in weight and longevity of primer pockets.

    Chronograph set up

5-7 yards is usually a good distance for most chrono's, but please remember the old saying: " There are those who have shot their chrono and those that will shoot their chrono" Be careful, be safe and enjoy!

Can someone possibly explain this to me?

As I explained there is a difference in headspace measurement of .006" between the 50-pieces. The longest pieces are 1.452" and the shortest 1.446". The biggest percentage of them are at 1.451 - 1.452". Thanks

Can someone possibly explain this to me?

I have been reloading for a heavy barreled Savage Axis II in .223. Before starting I acquired a good array of gauges and tools to try and produce safe and accurate ammo. I used 50 pieces of new Lapua brass and reloaded with Benchmark and 53gr SMK's, shot them through the Axis, FL sized making...

    •••primer fiasco•••?

One fact is certain, if you get caught shipping primers illegally, you'll never have to worry about primers again because you will loose your rights to own a firearm. That alone prevents me from breaking the law.

How do you measure group size??

Since I seem to always exaggerate my group size anyway (like the size of the fish) I usually just estimate and for some reason always end up being inside of 1 MOA. Lol
