Get some fox labs spray, and maybe a big dog to run with

    Non Weapons Question

Move. Let the new people worry about it. Sounds like he lives in the ghetto or something!

    Who Carries at home?

Leave the door and windows locked, and have more than one gun located around the house. As long as nobody can just walk right in, you'll be able to get to your gun in time. If it's unsafe enough where you live that you feel the need to carry a gun around the house though, you might consider...

what do i do when i get robbed?

I doubt your boss wants you pulling out a gun or killing anyone in the store. Prolly best to just stay calm, get a good ID if possible, and let the cops handle it, unless you honestly feel he's about to murder you.

    My carry options?

You've got 5 years dude. No offence, but does it really matter for the time being? :p

How big is the class? You should contact the other students of said class to see if any of them might have been using tape recorders to take notes. You never know.

    Wife Being Followed

Both A and B. Except I'd probably have her stay on the line and call the cops myself from a different phone, while grabbing a handgun and finding out just how fast my Z28 really can go. Would just have to make sure the cops don't mistake you for the bad guy. Common sense should be able to handle...

    Could you survive the zombies?

Staged. No way am I buying that. Still a funny watch though. And a bad "what-if" thought if he was a CCW holder instead of a sissy. :p

    My apologies

The fact that you lied doesn't seem all that bad, what I don't understand is that it seems pointless to me? You produced a completely worthless thread, with a lot of posts, for no real reason?

Graffiti painter killed by homeowner - news story

Legally, not too smart to kill someone who is painting graffiti on your house. It SHOULD be legal though.

How to stop a car break-in... W/O drawing

You are aware that it takes the average person less than 1.5 seconds to close 21 feet from a dead stop, correct? That it's a commonly known fact that a person standing 21 feet away can close that distance and hit/stab/tackle an officer before he can draw his weapon and fire it, even if he knows...

    Clothing for Hot Weather...

If you don't need deep concealment, a longer, slightly loose fitting dark colored t-shirt over shorts or jeans/pants (whatever, so long as it has standard belt loops) works good for me (full sized 1911, milt sparks, 5'11", 180lbs). It might print a little to you, but people are sheep, no one...

    Protection/family dog

Not much of an attack dog, but if you like small dogs (which I do), or can't have a big one due to size limitations, Pomeranians make great watch dogs. They obviously can't do much damage to a person, but they're very protective, fearless, and will do a great job of patrolling the house at night...

    Car defense

If at all possible, I would simply drive off. If I can use the car to my advantage in any way, I'll do it. If the ignition is off, then I'd go ahead and turn it on and drive. Ignition off, keys on pocket with windows down and me in the car is NOT a situation I'm going to put myself in in the...

    Alternative defensive tools

Definitely training. Your best weapons are the ones you already have and that people can't take away from you. Your arms, your legs, and your brain. Well, I wouldn't recommend throwing your brain at people as a weapon. But it can come in handy in other ways. ;)

    CCW knives as a deterrant?

I don't know... Except for extreme situations, if a situation calls for the use of deadly force (which a knife would pretty much be), I think I'd feel more comfortable using a firearm as a deterrant.

Good C&R Pistol for pocket carry

Have you ever heard of "simplicity's sake"? It doesn't matter if the people know the specifics regarding how the 1911 was paid for, I was looking for technical advice. Sometime's it's a whole lot easier to say "I paid via MO" than "The older relative that bought this 1911 for me, as a gift...
