Out of all the different weights I have reloaded over the years in 38/357 I always come back to the 158 gr swc I prefer the coated version but I would have no problem using plain hard cast and lubed.
I'll roll my own before they say any store bought ammunition must be registered to the user of said ammunition. Your government at work to protect you from yourself.
I bought 5k small pistol primers for a little over 400 bucks. I take advantage where I can did I need em nope. Just trying to stay ahead of the curve. Still looking for LPP kinda hard to come by lately. Might just order up small rifle primers.
Well let's see we got
Rainier's I bought a ton of these and I'm still loading them. All pistol calibers.
DG bullets cast and coated Pistol.
Extreme plated Pistol.
Midway pistol.
Everglades plated and fmj various versions 9mm 38 45 223
Oh and Dillon when they were selling their version of cast...
I tried the swage thing on my app it works but still had a hard time seating primers. I went to the rcbs crimp remover that you put in a drill works way better
Thanks to all for your input. I have to plunk test it first. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start at at 5 grs of 231 and see how they function. If they work from there I can work up.
I'm not planning on changing springs or anything like that if I can get a load to function in the 5-5.5 gr range with 231 with good accuracy and anywhere around 800 fps I would call that good
BBarn thanks for the suggestion I figured I would be in the ball park somewhere between 5.0-5.3 grs of 231. I still have to plunk these and see where I come in at.
