My latest airgun build from a bunch of parts

I have really built only 1 airguns out of spare parts.......... That was an honest to goodness Crosman Model 1 (2280) using all NOS parts I have accumulated, including original wood stock and forearm. Brand new gun, never really owned. I can probably do 1 or 2 more......

Daisy 880 V.1 Pump Lever Catch

The very first Daisy 880 rifles had a plastic catch to secure the pump lever in the stowed position. I had HEARD about them, but never SEEN one til this weekend. I could swear I just posted this,............ Has anyone tried using the currently available Daisy 717 screw-in valve to replace the original in the old metal receiver 880's etc. ?? I cannot get one to work…the poppet is too long. Online sellers claim they work perfectly.

Daisy 717 Screw-in valve in Older 880's etc.

There are online sellers who sell the Daisy 717 screw-in exhaust valve for use in the older 880 platform guns. They are adamant that they work. I have not been able to do so...the stem is too long due to different nose shape and will not permit opening when fired. Heck, I can't even get them to...
