ported barrels... Thank you for the info. I figured the porting would help due to the short barrel. Like the stainless a bit mor than the blue version, but like the ported syle. Thanks again.

I've been looking for a Marlin 1895G (ported barrel)45/70. Did Marlin ever make the stainless with a ported barrel? Does anybody know? Can't seem to find one..only blued versions seem to have the ported model.
