    What's a good surrogate for .50BMG?

Well if TSHTF I'm gonna have to disable zombie ninjas in armored icecream trucks. Mainly I just have an active imagination (fuelled by coffee) ;)

Most affordable way to have Class III gun?

But some weapons are easier to convert than others, correct?

    Good .308 bolt-action rifles?

Skoghund: everyone at Flashback told me post-1942 military semis were illegal. But if not, I am very happy :D

    What's a good surrogate for .50BMG?

Basically I need something I can shoot into an engine block so it will blow up (or at least not work).

Most affordable way to have Class III gun?

I don't it's that simple with the AR-15. You need to enlarge the housing for the parts IIRC.

    Best weapon for bike riding.

In the 19th century they hade these funky swords disguised as walking canes. Couldn't you take apart a bike pump and do something similar with that?

Keeping your survival compound safe on a skeleton crew

Yeah, I need to cut down... BTW, I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't a dedicated country music section here. I thought we were supposed to be real rednecks :neener: Currently listening to Hank Williams III - Straight to Hell

    Kukris?

I want to be prepared even though I find the whole idea of knife fights way more scary than shooting someone. Must be something to do with the reptile brain. Guy with sniper rifle = safe. Guy with knife = RUN!!! ;)

    Knoxx Compstock and Sidewinder

Knoxx makes two very nifty items, IMHO. The first is the Compstock recoil reducer and the second is the Sidewinder magazine thingie. I am especially excited with the latter one. Booyah! Anyone got any experiences with these?

What kind of bayonets can you put on these babies?

Keeping your survival compound safe on a skeleton crew

Note to serious people: :neener: We all know how hard it is to keep the living dead from overrunning your home while you are snoring, so I would like to discuss some solutions for automated surveillance. 1) I remember reading about fenced wire with embedded circuits in them that would trip...

    What's a good surrogate for .50BMG?

Even though it's legal in Sweden, I just cannot afford paying a lot of money ($2000 for the cheapest single-shot version AFAIK) for something that only has niche uses for me (taking out bears and zombies in armored icecream trucks). So, what's a good surrogate? Maybe AP .308? Also, I'm sure...

    Kukris?

Sounds good, but for my first knife I think I will go with a KaBar or some other simple fixed-blade knife that is useful for most tasks...

    Kukris?

The whole idea of a knife fight scares me a lot, but I reckon some day I must learn that too in order to be well-rounded in self defense. So, is a kukri any good for that kind of thing?

    Shooting handguns is damn hard!

I read about some new laser dryfiring thingamajig that would instantly show you if were using bad technique. The people at the gun club knew about it too. Anyone here know what I'm talking about?

    Good .308 bolt-action rifles?

Well, I now have some pretty good evidence that M-14:s are legal in Sweden. I should just e-mail the police or something to confirm. But, anyway... Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! :D M-14, that's a real rifle. A rifle you can put a bayonet on and a rifle that will kill a man dead. Anyway...

    Shooting handguns is damn hard!

I tried a S&W .22 (model 571 or something) and I'm having a lot of respect for people who can actually hit stuff with DA. Seems like an impossible task to me.
