Chris, Yes and no. The barrel and cylinder are stainless on the 637 but the frame is aluminum alloy with a painted/lacquered finish to match the color of the stainless components. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the frame section.
Robert Mika can make you a fine pocket holster for that Mod. 12. Will be ugly as sin, but work like no other. Google Mika's Holsters. You may need to send him some dimensions and then wait quite sometime for your small piece of stitched naugahide. It'll be cheap and you'll be glad you did.

Hadn't seen this thread in a while . . . see the same folks are still at it. Hello Nemo and DAdams.
Thought I'd pass on an FYI. As of this moment Natchez Shooters Supply has 135gr. Speer GDHP-SB available for order. Pricey at $30/box, but...
I'm seeing that same load data, compressed charges at that . . . 38K to 41,400 CUP pressures!! Maybe the Ruger's can handle it - probably can, but wow. All other load data for .357 using H110 that I can find seems similarly hot.
CZ's have become pricey lately. The comparison I recently made personally was between a CZ 75B and a Beretta 92FS. I bought both new with the intention of keeping one after trying a few hundred rounds through each.
I still have the CZ.
Harmon Rabb: J&G had some VERY nice Tokarev's a couple of weeks ago. I missed out, but a friend who got one received an almost pristine gun. They were $229.
I stick with 6 grains of Unique, 1.26 OAL with CCI 300 primers. The Alliant recommended maximum of Unique for 230 gr. FMJRN is 6.5 grains. AT 6 grains it's a soft shooting load that chronos for me right at 800 from 2 different 1911's.
I like it because it shoots to POA on a fixed site GI.
+1 on getting a CZ 82. Of all the combloc 9x18's out there, it's the only truly modern design having a double stack magazine, ambi safety, polygonal rifling, etc.
Hmm . . . Thanks for the advice folks. Guess I'm going to try W231 and Titegroup as those are the two I can find locally. If I can get settled on a nice metering powder for this new equipment, I'll probably fix on a few loads, set the Auto Disks and mail order a few 8lb jugs of powder. That...
Just getting back into handgun reloading and using Lee equipment. The Auto Disk powder gizmo I have seems to hate flake powder like Unique. What's a good ball/spherical powder for .38, .45 acp and .357 that meters well?
Is this possible? Perhaps with moonclips? I just came into a SP101 in .38 Special that doesn't fit into my plans for carry or range shooting and was considering having it "tinkered with" for a 9mm conversion. Then I thought of the old .38 Super ACP round which is dimensionally closer to .38 SPL...
