There are lots of recipes for brass. I tend to prefer brass with a slightly higher copper content but that’s just because it sizes easier. For me anyway.
Fiocchi follows CIP standards. You can download their full product catalog online in English, Italian, German or French.
An interesting note: Fiocchi offers reloading data for their FRex powders and Vihtavuori equivalents.
Works for me.
The revolver I know to have a weak mainspring and the one with a short stroke gave better than expected results. Judging whether or not a primer has “hit bottom” by looking for a “crush ring” has worked for me for quite a while.
That is all I was reporting.
Nothing more.

🤣 Bill Ruger was still studying partials when Skeeter Skelton was experimenting with heavy loads.
Edit: nope, my memory let me down again. Bill Ruger Sr. went to work for Springfield Armory in ‘38 so he was a contemporary of Keith and preceded Skelton. Oops.
Tumbling, tumbling, tumbling. I’ve got 315pcs of .38Spl brass in Round 1. Tomorrow is a work day so it can wait until morning for sifting. Maybe by Thursday I will have it all decapped.

I went through the Tula learning curve pre-internet.
I confirmed today that a weak hammer spring compounds any issues with these primers. But I already knew my guns with weak ignition need thin primers. The SyA are now in the same process position as Fiocchi and Tula. I am out of WSP and...

Couldn’t agree more.
In the final tumble with powdered walnut media I add green copper oxide and red ferrous oxide polishing waxes. First tumble is with untreated corn.
When I first started handloading as a kid I used a rag impregnated with Remoil to wipe down every case after it was...
Unimats and Sherlines are a hobby unto themselves.
The tail whig on my Sherline busted a while back - age and metal fatigue - so I’m looking for a few replacement parts. It’s not the finding it’s the hunting that makes it interesting.
