    Colt Trooper MKIII opinions?

I picked up a 4" last yr. It's as good accuracy wise as my King Cobra Target, trigger is very smooth. It too came in at well under 1k, pretty good compared to what some of these old Colts go for. I bought a spare trigger as well, on the advice of @NIGHTLORD40K , just in case. Got that from Jack...

The country must be flooded with guns

There's quite a few out there. Of course I've been waiting on a rifle now going on 4 months. A issue with the distributor and his love for the big box compared to my LGS, but that's another matter. There's alot of factors that have already been mentioned that play into the gun market today. The...

how did it start for you?

When I was a we lad around 8 my Uncle used to work in marketing for the Stroh Brewery in Detroit. He used to get magazines from publishers wanting them to buy ad space. Included in the monthlys that he received were Outdoor Life and F&S. Stories of hunts from O'Connor and the likes peaked my...

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

All I have to do is look around my shop and see the quality of the people who are LEFT out there for us to hire. The old German gentleman that iI apprenticed under would be rolling in his grave. I'm sure that's the case with alot of manufacturers these days, Colt, Ruger, Smith, etc included...

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

You'll be just fine with the FA. Don't you worry about that. I really like both the Python and the Anaconda, and due to the fact I now have more than a few 357s, I've been leaning towards the Anaconda. Then another story like this comes up. Don't get me wrong, my KCT is a nice gun, the thing I...

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

Open Carry in a Traffic Stop

We do not have open carry in my state(at least that's what I'm lead to believe) and I was pulled at night on my way home from afternoon shift. Yea was Rollin a bit fast. Before the deputy even got out of his vehicle, I had the back windows down, all interior lights in my vehicle on, my...

    RCBS cracked at top??

Good friend of mine worked down at the Cape for NASA. His job...weld the titanium heat shields for the shuttle. He would "warm up" for the task by welding a couple Juicy Fruit gum wrappers together. Of course with a high frequency machine. Not to drift off topic, but in alot of cases, the answer...

    RCBS cracked at top??

I disagree, but I do have access to a hi frequency welder. It's Miller time.............

    RCBS cracked at top??

Exactly the proper fix. Silver solder and brazing, you'll be doing it again sooner than later. Or not. Cast is not easy to even TIG, but a good welder should be able get er done. You will most likely need to get your hands on a 7/8-14 tap to chase the hole, as it may shift or slightly shrink...

    H110 and mag.spp

Small rifle primers tend to be a bit hotter, although I have read somewhere one of the brands they're the same force. Can't remember which it was and dunno if I'd believe it. I've used standard small pistol with 296 and didn't notice a difference. I'd have to put em over the chrony. But no...

    S&W 14-4 (trash or treasure $980)

LOL. Well man there's some things you just can't walk away from. In my case I got helped by losing a few things that were taking up room in the safes, so a bit easier on the budget. Good scores champion, at this rate your next purchase should be a larger safe(s)

    S&W 14-4 (trash or treasure $980)

Guilty. Although I'm proud of myself for walking out of a shop yesterday without a new 629. I've done enough 4473s the last 120 days, but the stuff on my want list keeps turning up, for prices I'm willing to pay

    How to value reloading equipment.

About my suggestion as well. We've all made mistakes and such. I've made some where I've just stepped back for a bit and reevaluated the situation. Lay off it for a bit, then start over, taking it slow. Handloading and reloading can give you fits at times, but sometimes a little layoff will get...
