Mine was my 270win MGM Encore barrel. The start load of H4831 flattens primers and sticks the brass in the chamber. I sent the barrel back to have checked, and they said the leade was short, so they corrected it. It still does the same unless I use nickel brass. This is the same with 130 or 140...

Sounds like the bullet did its job considering what it went thru. The 180gr Win bullets dont expand much on deer from our experiences yet.

358win guy here. I settled on 200ftx at 2,550fps early on and no regrets. It always stays together with perfect mushrooms or exits. Have taken about a dozen mature deer with it now.
