I just rejoined my local club and along with using the rifle range like I've done for decades id like to start shooting trap, skeet and five station.
Is there an affordable o/u that would be ok for each sport, or do each of the three required a specific type?
I currently own a Winchester 1300...
Pretty much all I use on my guns is WD40. I use it as a solvent and a lubricant. I even use it on wood stocks. I haven't bothered with Hoppes or Rem Oil or anything else in over 30 years. About the only exception is .22 LR semi-autos. If they get really filthy ill do most of the cleaning with...
I use corn cob unless my brass is filthy in which case I use walnut. I add a dab of whatever car wax I happen to have and I let the tumbler go for a few hours. I'm not super OCD about clean brass so I only tumble my brass occasionally. I've reloaded absolutely nasty looking stuff without any...
Yup. I carried a Star BKM concealed when I worked plain clothes security many years ago. Small, slim and light weight years before light weight polymer guns were available. I carried it cocked and with the thumb safety engaged. A good holster that completely covers the trigger guard is an...
Winchester 9422 High Grade.
Fancy wood, coon & hound receiver. It was unfired when I bought it about 25 years and I bought it intending to hunt small game with it, but its just too pretty.
It comes out of the safe twice a year for a light oiling and than back it goes.
I really should sell it and...
Its way too much for me. But im still loading with components that I bulk purchased in 1990 when I first got into reloading. $15 for a pound of powder.
I've tried every carry option under the sun and I finally settled on pocket carry.
I mostly wear Carhartt or Duluth carpenter pants rather than jeans. The Duluth pants have a short of built in pocket holster. a loop in the bottom of the pocket that holds the muzzle.
S&W m29 with a crack in the forcing cone.
It was the first thing you saw when you opened the cylinder and impossible to miss.
I showed the seller and he said something about how they're all like that and it doesn't matter.
Other than a Taurus that I foolishly purchased, I've ended up regretting selling every gun I've ever sold. If I could go back in time I would have kept them all.
Except the Taurus. How that junk dealer is still in business is beyond me.
Not trying to ruffle the feathers of the Taurus lovers out...
I don't disagree, however I'm borderline lazy and I like just stuffing my pistol in my pocket.
Now that I'm out of uniform the last thing I want is to go back to lugging around extra mags or a backup gun and all the rest.
