I would not dismiss 2FP for your particular situation given your feedback. The 5.5-22x50mm Nightforce NXS was my choice for 600-1k F-Class and F-Open. There are optically better options but these are the gold standard in tracking & reliability (IMO). Vortex does offer good reticle options...
I'll open with a few questions to help your cause and not being a dick. Simply going north on Vortex's portfolio may appease you.
What are your gripes with your current optic you want to replace?
Do you prefer dialing or holding, mutually exclusive to either axis, and are distances known or...
The Savage Minimalist has gained some favor from me for a backyard at-ready. The mag feeding isn't optimal but it works. I prefer the bolt for the variety of ammo and flexibility.
Thank you. I guess after all these years I had heard CCI cups were a bit "harder" but never anything where Federal was at a detriment (not like the brass life).

Some EAA Witness frames are drilled and tapped for a "around the slide" optic mount.
There are now reflex mounts that attach to the slide's rear sight V. Here is a annoying video for the Loopy one.
Great post.
I've never had success with Varget relative to velocities in short barrels but I am usually pushing 175-180gr SMK/AMAX. I don't see any Varget-Scener loads in my log. Something new to try and also with the 6.5. Thanks.
Gorgeous pistol and I like the choice in holster. Also, congratulations!
I figure why wait.....buying now is JUST like saving for retirement, and I'll have what I need. :)
However, by then or by that time it might very well be a Particle Magnum.

Rifle: Three RCBS Rock Chuckers and one longer ram model.
Rifle & Pistol: A Redding T-7 (love it).
Pistol: An APP and a LEE 4-hole'er Classic. I like the "turret cakes", gets the job done and the dies stay set.
No progressives and powder is all metered and weighed. My handgun...
