I had always been Leary of the nipple on the Gen 4 trigger assembly and noticed that many of the expensive kits used the gen 3.
OR--you can file most of the nipple off, achieve the same thing & save some $$.;) That's one thing I do when working of a Glock trigger.

Personally I like being able to apply the thumb safety to block the trigger when holstering the pistol.
&
I'd suggest she really needs an extra safety and a better carry setup,
YEP to both!!

How good is your grip when your are lying on the ground injured and shooting one handed? Maybe with your off hand?
Excellent, I shoot a Glock 29 10mm every other day weak handed. I'm 83.

It's amazing what a Gen 3 trigger bar can do for some Gen 4's and for very little cost.
Or you can file the bump off the trigger bar & save some $$.
The trigger on my G29 is 3lbs w/minimum take up--cost $20. It's sweet to shoot:cool:
I have 2 Shields, a 40/45 both have safeties. Both are carried w/out the safeties on. BUT when going back into the holster the safety IS on--then clicked off.
IMO it's a good safety move.
The safety has nothing to do w/ the trigger pull.

So...why would anyone remove it & cause parts to rust?
To get them smooth when they rub together. Magnified, they are rough & will cause a gritty trigger pull.
Electroless Nickel Plating is used as a rust preventive NOT a metal hardener.
The amount of miss information out there about Glocks is STAGGERING.

why don't you explain to all of us exactly how to do a trigger job on a Glock?
Sure, be glad to--get on the internet, as I did & figure it out.
Varminterror,
A lot of questions I had too.
One of the OEM crowd that doesn't know how to do a trigger job & preaches leave it the trigger alone.
No thanks, I like my 3lb trigger--that's lasted for thousands of rounds.:neener:
