I guess since we're discussing table fare, I should note that I deliberately pass on the big hogs and only shoot those in the 75, 80 pound range. I don't remember walking up on some stinky nasty hog. Might just be the places I've hunted them.
Too many times I've been left wondering "did I pull that shot. Or was it the scope? I didn't think I pulled that shot?" That's what has led me to this.
For a long time I've wanted a scope I could move from rifle to rifle for load development. I basically just need high magnification with good resolution. I just want to KNOW that I'm getting the best performance from the rest of the system (rifle, ammo, shooter). I'm thinking along the lines of...

I'm in the market for another lpvo and while I'd love to get another burris rt6, I'm having a hard time justifying the nearly 500 dollars for scope and mount.
I've got a kolpin hard case I'm not using that someone gave me years ago. I'll send it to you. I'd look at rugged gear for that vertical unit that 22250rem pictured. I have their overhead mount in my truck for decades. Rifles go up there and stay for YEARS with no issue beside banging a head...
