The 460 is my 8 3/8" xvr loaded with 300 grain xtp mag bullets over 41 grains of H110 powder. As far as the 45/70 goes he has multiple, all lever actions, and I don't know what his reloads for them are.

My boss and I were talking about guns the other day and he thinks that a 45/70 is louder then a 460 s&w. Does anyone have any data that shows which one is louder? I can find 45/70 but not 460 s&w.
