    Mechanical vs Electronic Locks

The difference is that if you change it on a mechanical there's likely no other way in. The digital can be programmed with a backdoor in.

    Mechanical vs Electronic Locks

Mine is electronic while I figure out a dial replacement for it. Likely has a backdoor. When battery died it wouldn't let me in until I replaced the battery. I'm sure an EMP would cook it, that said several of my guns aren't in it.

    Background Checks For Ammunition Purchases

The sad thing here in CA is that it was Proposition 63, and was voted on by the people.

    Background Checks For Ammunition Purchases

They do it here in CA, I believe it's $1 if you have guns registered to you within a number of years, and then I believe it's a full DROS charge if not.

    Remington 870 PIMC Combat

Was looking at the Turners online gun rack at work yesterday, and saw a Remington 870 PIMC Combat. I've never heard of this before, and wasn't able to turn up much with Google. It was gone before I had a chance to do anything about it, but it piqued my curiosity. Anybody here know anything about...

Curio & Relics FFL -03. Is it Time to Terminate the License?

Actually just used mine yesterday. Picked up a CZ52 and an older S&W Mod 35 with ammo. I drove Upland to Burbank, only having to do it once was definitely a plus.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Traded a Ruger American Rimfire for a CZ52 and 170 rounds of 7.62x25, and bought a Pre Lock S&W model 36 with 330 rounds of mixed 38 Special.

    What Is This?

I hate that my uncles books were all gotten rid of. He had books for almost every sort of gun ever made.

Curio & Relics FFL -03. Is it Time to Terminate the License?

I keep mine for multiple reasons. One I've snagged a few milsurps with it at what I'd consider a deal by today's standards. Also I live in CA so no 1 in 30 for me and I can have ammo shipped to my house.

    Pattern Density 20gauge cylinder bore

I was just checking out an old Sears 20G with a 6 position choke. I was super tempted to grab it, but the store wants $200 +tax and DROS. I was thinking more like $200 OTD. Woods nice, but there's some pitting on the receiver. Would something with an adjustable choke be better for what you're...

Rarest/strangest firearm you've handled or shot?

For me currently it would be my Rasheed. Funny enough when I picked it up everybody at the shop thought it was a funky SKS.

    Some old paper shells

I've always wanted a Winchester 1887, and recently have become more serious about getting one. I was reading up on the issues, and one remedy was actually to use paper or brass hulls.

    MDT Black Friday

I have a Freedom Group Remington 700 in 308 that I got from a co worker. It came in the cheap stock that they were putting out at the time. My understanding is that the stock is kinda junk. I got an email from MDT about Black Friday sale, and started thinking about some of their stuff. They have...

    S&W defense of the 2A

No clue, simply told you what you asked about with the locks including that Glock and Beretta stuck to their guns as it were. Also that they were British owned at the time. Now what I didn't say is what a great company S&W is or how I'm rushing out to buy me a new S&W with a lock. I would like...

    S&W defense of the 2A

The HUD agreement under the Clinton administration. Interestingly enough guess who HUD secretary was at the time.... Andrew Cuomo. Basically rhe manufacturers were facing a bunch of frivolous litigation from municipalities, and since S&W was already in bad shape and British owned at the time...
