Justin, I found that the owner had taken this pistol down and had assembled the firing pin and springs out of order. I got it torn down and after the firing pin was removed, I could then move the safety switch. Many thanks to hexidismal..The instructions are excellent!

I've run into this numerous times. I put the frame in a padded vise and with Optivisors, I saw the rear sight in two...being very careful to run the blade horizontally so as not to cut the frame. Try the heat but I dont' like heat on a frame.

You will need to buy a left handed safty button. You can't just turn the RH one around. This requires dissassembling the trigger housing and removing the hammer and it's spring. This isn't too bad but it can be trickey getting it back together.
