I think its important to join all 3. Definatly join the NRA ... they are huge. Both the GOA and JPFO both agree with that point. This is a fight for our rights ... we need to support as many as possible in this fight! As far as the $$ situation goes both GOA and JPFO are only $20/year...

I live in NY (almost as bad as CA) ... but my sugesstion is the Dragunov (AKA Romak-3, SSG-97). http://www.dragunov.net/romanian_psl.html That stock dosen't qualify as a pistol grip because it is attached to the rest of the stock. It only comes with 10 round mags. Its basically an AK...

My AK

I have to go with the AK-47 ... Its good for shooting a lot. Throw a 75 round drum on there and you're good for while. The AR is a solid gun but the AK is a lot simpler. The AR is nice for more accurate shooting. But the AK is proven many times over ... and its so simple!

I am a member and support the NRA but sometimes they don't hit as hard as they should. I've found the Jews For the Preseveration of Firearm Ownership and Gun Owners of America are very hard hitting. Does anybody know of any other organizations that fight for the 2nd ammendment?

They've got some on www.fastarms.com. They are just starting up apperently. I gave them a call and they have 7 cases. The catch is they can only deliver to Northern and Central New York. They don't have the hasmat certification they need to ship it yet.
