    40rd 1911 Stick Magazine?

I have never seen a high capacity 1911 stick magazine for 45 ACP that worked for more than a few rounds before jamming. , I guess there is always the first time but I would have to see it to believe it.

Is there an Iver Johnson expert here?

Made in 1915, based on the first model safety hammer, No letter prefix was used until 1917. The US Revolver was built using left over frames when Iver Johnson switched to the Second model in 1909, It was meant to be a temporary thing but the Revolver proved so propeller that it stayed in...

Do you buy handguns in anticipation of old age?

LOL. You don't anticipate old age, you turn your back for one minute and it sneaks up and slaps you in the back of your head.

    Russian Space Gun...DRILLING pistol.

There was also another valid reason, other than the animals for the cosmonauts to have a firearm available. There are areas where the populist hates the Russians with a passion. including but not limited to the Cossacks, the Tartars and the Mongos. There was the very real possibly of the...

    Russian Space Gun...DRILLING pistol.

While it has not been discussed on this forum ( that I remember ) it has been covered in a number of books and magazines in the past., oops, I forgot, very few people read the printed word any more.

    Belgian Browning A. Richard

Sorry, that is just a replacement buttplate. Your shotgun is not a Browning. Your shotgun is one of the hundreds of thousands imported prior to WWWI and sold for as little as 5 dollars,( mail order ) cheap even in those times. It's true value is as a family heirloom.

    Belgian Browning A. Richard

You do know that it is not a Browning FN nor an English Richards, but just a no name Belgium shotgun , right? I'm not being shaky just confused by the title of the post . JFYI FN was still years away from being in existence when that gun was made in some small cottage. Sorry about that

Yet another "What is this?" thread

Deleted, I don't know what I saw in first look at the photos, but it is not a Belgium Ranger. I agree it is Spanish. Sorry about that.

    S&W .22 revolver

I've had a S&W 63 for quite a few years now , it is small, quite accurate ( more accurate than my Model 18 ), very handy little revolver. The Model 17 is nice, but for a outdoor gun, be it woods , desert , or mountain I think the 63 () or the blue 34 ) is the cat's meow. With several boxes of LR...

    Keltec .32 opinions

First of all, I'm not short of carry guns, big or small; I've owned a Kel-Tec for several years now and I am very satisfied with it. It goes bang each and every time I pull the trigger and it will digest any .32 ACP I feed it.. It is light and small and disappears in my front pocket ( with a...

    A 99% singer 1911A1 for sale!

At 50,000 dollars I would think the North American Arms would be the rarest. I think only about 10 were made. In an aircraft crash not every thing is destroyed, If a large aircraft such as the B-29 made a crash landing , most of the aircraft would be intact. Even when a aircraft is destroyed...

    Old Iver Johnson Manufacture Date??

Well, boon daggle, I can not make out that mangled letter prefix. These were hand stamped and when it was stamped the hammer slipped and the picture is fuzzy. Tell you what , I'll give you the info and you make the call. A - 1909 . G - 1915, H - 1923 , J - 1927. But you can clearly see how the...

    Old Iver Johnson Manufacture Date??

You need to remove the left handgrip, if there is a letter prefix it will be there. That is why the number under the grip is considered the true serial number. The trigger guard seems to bend easily and they are easy to replace.. I have seen a number of them that did not match the grip number...

    Looking to Research Rem-Rand 1911A1

If you have good karma, you may find out where the gun was first shipped. Other than the possible theater of war, you are never going to find out where that 1911 has been, Such records don't exist ; After it arrives " in country " all records are temporary and are non archival . That means local...
