My dad's doesn't either. He received his commission in 1970 and got his permit after retiring. I think he got some training in the NAM. I served myself (no wars, and I'm not retired) but the 214 has worked for me.

Not a fan of open carry. Tried it a few times and just didn't go over well. Georgia requires permit to carry period and makes no distinction. I guess it's good that I'm not required to carry concealed so if someone sees me wearing I don't have to worry about brandishing.

I took my two year old son to a coin show over the summer and he got upset when he couldn't touch/play with the coins on display. I expect similar results at a gun show.
I found those shotshells cost more than .410 shells. They work but if you can get a cheap single shot .410 you'll be more accurate and can shoot cheapr. Might even be worth reloading, shotshells aren't hard.
