Wrong, I know I was using reloads, I was upfront to FN about it and asked them if they wanted to inspect the firearm. Again, in my initial call to FN I told Robert Ailes up front that I had used reloads, I asked if they wanted to inspect the gun to see if they could find out what happened...

FN has produced a 55grain load, it is the subsonic SB193 available only to LEO/Mil.

I'm sorry, I mispoke when I said 1.280, it is 1.128.

As I said earlier brass was trimmed to 1.280 + or - .002 OAL was 1.580in + or - .003in Primers were seated properly, I check every primer after priming my cases. Any that don't feel right I try and re-seat and check again.

HM2PAC, no crimp, full length resize. No bulges, just dents and marks from the case giving way. bannockburn, thanks for the advice, that is definitely still on the table as an option.

Thank you Zoogster, it seems to that all of the pressure was directed upwards and also down and to the left. Disaster, I suspect that it did not fully return to battery as it should have after the first round was fired. The slide being out of battery up to 1/4" is hard to tell as all surfaces...

The only difference in the frames are the trigger guard shape and the grip pattern.
