i find it interesting that liberal countries (think Europe) and liberal entities (MTV) are completely accepting of anything "alternative" (homosexuality, fornication, body mutilation, etc) but totally intolerant of anything traditional or founded on the one absolute truth.
when i think of the...
just got back from my first IDPA shoot and discovered ive got a lot of work to do.
does anyone have a good routine they use for dry fire practicing? id like to include all aspects from unholstering to reloads. also, i need to work on the mental aspects such as remembering how many rounds per...
many thanks for a great review. i was on the fence until your post but now i think ill take the nra/mossberg up on their offer for a loc-box for 19.95+3 (in the freedom fighter coupon book w/ renewal).
i love my mini 8000d. i dont really have a problem w/ the short grip; i just curl that pinky underneath and go.
my 8000 has been perfect, just like my 92 and 96. it is my favorite gun and makes a good CCW.
yes, i think the difference is the intermediate grip and different slide contour.
.. and COHIBA,
what is the deal b/w you two?
first ".." dumps on your FS thread. the thread gets locked and he is publicly rebuked by an admin. for starting another thread w/ the same info in a different section (this one IIRC).
now you are dumping on his thread.
you two need to let...
ruger replaced the mags on my 22/45 when they had less rounds than yours. seems they were just plain duds. if i were you, id just ask for replacements and not fool w/ trying to test the springs (make sure the mags are clean though).
dont get too upset. youll like that 22/45 if you give it a chance. the polymer lower isnt great but the gun feels right and you can actually release the mag without cursing the designer.
now of course you're comparing a real G17 to a blank-firing replica of a beretta 92. hardly apples and apples.
im not disagreeing with your assessment/conclusion, just the methodology you used in getting there.
heres all ya need to know

i have a 92 and 17. the beretta has more appeal (cosmetically and tactile-wise) but im comfortable with either.
neither is "best" but if forced, id choose beretta b/w the two.
TDDude, thanks for the link. after a lot of looking i found that site - it is one of a very few.
i like you sig line - my wife and i PLANNED to have a kid normally monday evening but God decided that it was better to have a C section tues morning. Since He is so awesome and knows what is best...
call the manufacturer. theyll send you one ASAP, probably free (liability issues). also, check their website. might just be available for download.
good shooting and stay safe.
im no fan of the .40 (mainly b/c of the price of ammo) but the 96 is so sweet. lots of parts are available, it looks awesome and shoots great. cant comment on the CZ but wont be disappointed should you decide to buy the beretta.
BTW, i would not pay one penny extra for an italian version. YMMV
im man enough to admit when im wrong. so if you get $500, or more than you paid, you have my permission to post here explicitly saying i was wrong. can anyone verify that Vektor is actually paying $500 for these guns - how much did the originally cost?
you did the right thing by telling the...
i dont think its the pawn shop owner he's worried about. more likely it is the unsuspecting customer who buys the gun and ends up shooting his kid in an accident.
and since this is a forum devoted to the free expression of ideas and opinions i dont think he's out of line either.
if you...
