bubba15301, Look again. It has a full trigger guard.Screws insert from the right side of the frame. This is an original not a reproduction with just New Model stamped on it as Pietta and any others do.
Screws insert from the left on a pocket and have a spur trigger.
My family raised Texas Longhorns . We would take the animals to one of the area butcher shops/meat markets. Some would use a 12g shotgun slug and others a 22 rifle. One time we took a 1700 + lb. bull and the fool used a 22 revolver and was to scared to get close enough. That time it took 3...
If you think about it. Most being satisfied with just OK is part of the reason why American manufacturing is where it is today. The American consumer is satisfied with Walmart type quality.
I always understood that hydrogen peroxide was an oxidiser. So would think it would bring oxygen to the metal and form rust. This may work for someone who shoots often but would not trust it for the occasional shooter. I have read some that will not use hydrogen peroxide on firearms ever.ymmv
I would never tell anyone to buy the starter kit as it is crap unless it has been greatly improved in the last 5years.
The one that came with my Pietta pocket pistol came with .315 balls. Guess what size the chambers are on this Pietta....315. The flask is some kind of plastic junk. All...
My Remingtons have the mainspring screw and not one of them even comes close to touching the spring when fully seated. I have noticed this on many of the Italian repro revolvers.
Sagetown, Did you measure the ball. Interested to here if it at least filled the grooves. Might have to add a thousandth or so for the wood swaging it down a bit.
I would recommend that if you decide on a Remmie to make sure it was made after about 2005. Pietta about that time seemed to have done a better job of building these since that time . One from any of the offerings before that is hit and miss on quality.
How does a stirrup fall off a saddle ? I worked with horses for decades and never even heard of this happening . I guess if your not smart enough to check your gear after putting the horse away.
I picked the Remington . I don't have a problem with it not being a powerhouse. I bought it cause it looks good and Rogers & Spencers don't come in a pocket .31. Pack it full, about 15 gr. of 4f or 3f of your favorite flavor and a .323 ball and have fun
You are so right . I thought for sure turkey day was this next thursday.
This is great . I have another week to get some things done before the season starts. Thanks for waking me up.
I've been using airline hose for years. Thought it was common practice. I also cut some longer pieces to place on the nipples for dry fire practice. It takes a little adjusting of length ,but when you get it right they will last for many dry fire shots ,especially if you fill the void with a wad...
I'll be taking my Rogers & Spencer have not decided on the projectile,454 RB or 195gr. conical . Our season starts this Sat. and the weather looks miserable. Thunderstorms Sat. and Sun. and a frozen mix of precip on Mon..
Will be doing the "if it's brown it's down" as I need the meat and I...
If your caps are flipping in your capper. The capper you are using is for a different sized cap.I have two different cappers that I have been using to prevent this very thing from happening.
